Some dungeons can be cleared by fighting strong enemies in Remnant 2, but others require puzzle-solving, patience, and a little bit of trial and error. The Chimney is one of them.
When you pull the lever in front of the lightning crystal, you’ll only have a limited time to complete the dungeon’s puzzle. The crystal will slowly descend down into the tomb, zapping everything around it. You’ll need to travel down the spiral staircase alongside the crystal as enemies pop out of tombs in front and behind you. If you go too fast, the lightning will zap you. But if you lag behind, the lightning will zap you. See a theme here?
When you reach the bottom of the tomb, you’ll receive the Heart Seed, which can be taken to Ava McCabe at Ward 13 to craft the Soulbinder mod. But there’s a chance you might miss one of the rewards in the Chimney, like the purple item that will be dropped once the tomb is completed.
This item will show up on your map as a purple dot, but if you try to go pick it up, it won’t appear where it says it is.
Here’s how to get the Chimney purple item—otherwise known as Downward Spiral Amulet—in Remnant 2.
Where to get the purple item of Chimney Dungeon in Remnant 2
To get the purple item from the Chimney Dungeon in Remnant 2, you’ll first have to clear it. To do so, activate the lever and go down the stairs. Head left and follow the path until you reach a section close to the core covered by branches, and destroy the glowing red bulbs in the branches. You’ll be required to do the same thing for another location closer to the bottom of the tomb.

Once you’ve cleared the Chimney dungeon, you’ll be able to collect the purple item, which is the Downward Spiral Amulet. But don’t leave the area as soon once it’s cleared, because you’ll have to trace your steps to find the purple item.
The purple item’s location will be notified on your game’s map through a purple icon. You’ll have to step on the Root bridge nearby and look at the map’s indicated direction to see an orange glow where the item is. Depending on where you stand on the bridge, the bulb might be covered by ruins. If you’re still struggling to find the object, check our video below.
You’ll then have to shoot an explosive Root pod to free the purple item and add it to your inventory. The item will grant you an attack speed bonus and increased ranged and melee damage based on missing HP.
