FaZe and BIG to fight for a grand final spot at the ELEAGUE Invitational

There might be a rematch of the ELEAGUE Boston Major grand final tomorrow.

Another day at the ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational is done and dusted, and only three teams remain.

FaZe Clan will live to see another day at the $150,000 Atlanta, Georgia event after defeating compLexity Gaming in the losers match of the tournament. The European juggernaut’s win puts them into the decider match vs. BIG, who fell to the new North American roster of Cloud9 later on.

Losers match

FaZe Clan vs. compLexity Gaming

  • FaZe won Train 16-12
  • FaZe won Cache 16-2

Nikola “NiKo” Kovac and crew started off strong on map one Train with an explosive T side at 11-4. Once the Europeans took the pistol round and subsequent rounds, they struggled vs. coL’s offenses for a bit before barely stopping an overtime game. Then FaZe destroyed coL on Cache to get the sweep vs. the North American side.

Winners match

Cloud9 vs. BIG

  • C9 won Cache 16-14
  • C9 won Overpass 16-14

C9 began their day with a rough 3-12 start on their T side, but they miraculously brought it back in the second half by streaking after their second pistol round win. Robin “flusha” Ronnquist led the pack with 31 kills and 103.6 average damage per round before going into Overpass. In the following map, Overpass, the North Americans went back and forth with BIG until they finally closed out the series 2-0.

The ELEAGUE Invitational will continue tomorrow with BIG and FaZe taking the stage at 12pm CT. Then the winner will go on to the grand final to face Cloud9.
