The world of Apex Legends is home to a rapidly changing landscape. Each time a new legend is introduced or a wave of buffs and nerfs arrives, character pick rates fluctuate based on the meta and who’s in demand.

In previous seasons, characters like Valkyrie have seen astronomical pick rates thanks to solid abilities and usability, only to fade away with time. It’s also traditional for a new legend to dominate the meta at the beginning of their season, but things get more interesting as their power is tweaked and other legends are adjusted to compensate.

We’ve compiled all pick rates among Apex players in all game modes displayed by Apex Legends Status. These stats are accurate as of Season 19. Here are the current pick rates for all characters in Apex.

The most picked Legends in Apex Legends Season 19

Octane: 10.5 percent pick rate

Octane has always been one of the most popular characters at all skill levels in Apex, able to quickly engage or disengage from fights thanks to his unrivaled speed and team mobility from Jump Pad.

He pairs especially well with Conduit, as the Savior’s Speed 30 percent speed boost can keep up with Octane’s 40 percent sprint speed when on Stim, and her Radiant Transfer boosts the duo’s health during a fight, making one of Apex’s best Skirmishers even better at winning his duels to turn a fight.

Pathfinder: 8.8 percent pick rate

Pathfinder has remained a ranked staple since Apex’s initial release, and it’s easy to see why. Grappling Hook is one of the most versatile movement abilities in the game, Zipline allows his entire team to rotate alongside him, and Season 19 even buffed his passive to scan care packages independently of other team Skirmishers, allowing him to choose the exact moment when an instant Zipline is needed for his squad.

Wraith: 8.6 percent pick rate

Just like Octane, Wraith is a highly effective legend when playing with or against Conduit, able to take full advantage of the support legend’s healing while dodging her damaging abilities. Into the Void allows Wraith to traverse Energy Barricaded buildings or areas without being slowed, and Dimensional Rift extends the safe rotation option to her entire team.

When paired with the newest Legend, Conduit’s shield healing from Radiant Transfer does not stop while Wraith or any of her allies are in the void, creating one of the safest ways in Apex to disengage and reset from fights.

Conduit: 7.6 percent pick rate

The newest support legend to the Apex Games has been met with widespread positive reception from pro players and the casual community. Conduit has proven to be a flexible legend who excels at keeping her entire team alive during or after a fight.

The ability to heal allied shields is unique to Conduit and Wattson. However, while Wattson must use an ultimate to slowly heal teammates, Conduit’s Radiant Transfer can maintain these temporary shields with its quick heal time and low cooldown, and offers immediate protection that other Support legends can’t compete with.

Gibraltar: 1.3 percent pick rate

Gibraltar’s playstyle of protecting his teammates by bunkering down with Dome Shield and Defensive Bombardment have always served as a good baseline for Apex’s Support class, but his lack of mobility and reactionary playstyle keep his pick rate at the bottom, especially when compared to Conduit, the newest Support character.

Gibraltar must stand his ground when using his abilities, while Conduit’s team can stay on the move during Radiant Transfer. When dealing with hyper-aggressive team compositions with movement abilities, Gibraltar struggles to keep up.

Crypto: 1.2 percent pick rate

Despite serving as a direct counter to Conduit’s entire kit, Crypto continues to stay off the grid, maintaining the same pick rate for most of Season 19. Drone E.M.P. hits Radiant Transfer’s shields, slows enemies, and completely destroys Energy Barricade, making him an obvious utility choice in team fights.

However, Crypto must stay still to pilot his drone, making him naturally lag behind other Recon legends like Bloodhound and Vantage, who can actively push the advantage with the information they gain from their respective kits. His tendency to stay safely out of fights runs counter to what many players love about Apex, and so he stays near the bottom.

Newcastle: 1.0 percent pick rate

Newcastle initially enjoyed a surge in pick rate thanks to the Three Strikes LTM, but found himself back to his usual spot at the bottom of the pick rate leaderboard once the event ended.

Newcastle specializes in protecting his teammates while they’re downed, but cannot shoot back while reviving. In contrast, Conduit can shield her allies before they go down, and keep the entire team firing back at their enemies, giving her immediate utility instead of only finding value in a losing situation. Even legends like Lifeline can revive teammates while maintaining her ability to fire back at enemies, making Newcastle look lackluster.

Seer: 0.7 percent pick rate

Seer’s lore as a shunned outcast rings true to his pick rate, holding last place since Season 18’s nerfs and changes to his kit. Focus of Attention’s new silencing mechanic has not brought any players back to the Ambush Artist, who notably struggles to push against just about anyone, even when Exhibit is up.

Without the huge amount of info he used to be able to gather or the long slow that was also taken away from him, there’s just not much reason to play Seer over other legends right now.
