After clamoring for a month about the state of Apex Legends, fans of the battle royale have finally gotten some answers from Respawn Entertainment. On the game’s official subreddit, Respawn addressed some of the biggest concerns that the community has with the game.

This comes after Respawn’s CEO, Vince Zampella, addressed the radio silence that Apex players have been facing from the company over the past few months. Many issues with the game were talked about by Jay “Jayfresh” Frechette, the community manager for Respawn, and how the team will be making efforts to better Apex moving forward.

“We are 100 percent committed to the long-term growth of Apex Legends, and supporting the millions playing every day,” Jayfresh said. “So today we want to reset our commitment to you and give you some insight into where we are as a development team and how we’re approaching live service for Apex Legends.”

As a result, Jayfresh told the Apex faithful thatt there are a few things taking priority for the team. First off, the slow performance at the beginning of games is still being investigated by Respawn, but the community will be updated regularly on the status of that specific problem.

Fixes for the various audio bugs players have experienced are being tested, while hit registration problems are being fixed slowly, even though Jayfresh admitted that “more work needs to be done to address the root of the problem.” Also, Respawn has been making changes “behind-the-scenes” to attack the cheating problem that’s been running rampant over the past few months.

Finally, Jayfresh said Respawn will be applying more thoughtful updates throughout the season, and also talked about what the next season’s Battle Passes will provide. Additionally, he assured the community that it can “expect more transparency on future updates and fewer surprise drops,” which is something that Apex players have been wanting for a long time.
