In BG3, the Ornate Mirror is a Magic Mirror found in a hidden room in the Alchemist’s Cellar in Blighted Village.
The mirror asks you five questions, which you must answer correctly to gain access to another room with plenty of BG3 loot, including The Necromancy of Thay.
How to find the Ornate Mirror in BG3
The Ornate Mirror is located at the bottom of a well in the Blighted Village. To get to the bottom of the well, you need to go through a Hatch at coordinates: X: 34, Y: 378. After you enter the Hatch, you’ll find yourself in the Apothecary’s Cellar. To get to the Ornate Mirror, follow these steps:
- Go to the back of the room, until you reach a painting of a landscape beside a large bookcase and a stack of crates.
- Remove the painting and move the crates to reveal a hidden lever.
- The bookcase will slide to one side, revealing a hidden passage.
- Continue along the passage (which takes you up some stairs) until you reach a large mirror beside some kegs.
- Interact with the mirror.

Answering the Ornate Mirror incorrectly results in a fight. We advising saving before you start answering the questions in case you answer one wrong accidentally.
After you answer all the questions correctly, the mirror swings open, revealing another hidden room. This room contains all sorts of useful ingredients that you can use to make potions or trade. It has traps, though, so keep your wits about you.
Once you’ve looted everything, pull the lever on the right-hand side of the room to open the exit.
It’s not the only thing to do in Blighted Village. While you’re there, stop the windmill and rescue the Gnome.
