Baldur’s Gate 3 was the surprise hit of 2023, with Larian Studios’ expansive fantasy RPG boasting the highest critic scores of the year, and Xbox fans are eagerly awaiting its release. After months of anticipation, BG3 finally has a release date on Xbox.
When will Baldur’s Gate 3 come to Xbox Series X?
After a surprise announcement at the 2023 The Game Awards on Dec. 8, 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available on Xbox.
Fans can purchase the standard base edition of BG3 for $69.99. Or they can buy the Digital Deluxe edition for $79.99, which includes the base game and the following goodies:
- Divinity Bard Song Pack
- An exclusive Dice Theme
- Treasures from Rivellon Pack, which includes:
- Mask of the Shapeshifter (This is one of the best items and well worth purchasing the deluxe edition to get).
- Cape of the Red Prince
- Lute of the Merryweather Bard
- The Needle of the Outlaw Rogue
- Bicorne of the Sea Beast
- Adventurer’s Pouch (This features extra camp supplies and potions)
- Digital OST (soundtrack)
- Digital Artbook and Character Sheets.
However, if you’re not ready to commit to the deluxe version, you can also buy the deluxe upgrade for $9.99 later if you change your mind. But you must own the base game to get the deluxe upgrade.
Is Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox Game Pass
Although most games often launch on Xbox Game Pass or close after launch, Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently not available on Xbox Game Pass. And there has been no mention from the developers if BG3 will be added to the Game Pass library.
Does BG3 offer cross-platform cloud saves?
