In September, Dignitas signed a deal with Champion to help re-launch the brand with a bunch of new gear and an overhauled logo. Today, Dignitas (the organization has dropped “Team” from its name) has revealed its new look.
Dignitas has swapped out the alien-eye logo for an owl crest, inspired by the “Owl of Minerva,” an ancient Roman symbol that ties back to the Dignitas name. (Dignitas is sometimes translated to prestige in latin.) Colors will stay familiar, with yellow and black. Silver’s been added as a primary color, which will be seen on the new uniforms first worn by the Dignitas Heroes of the Storm team at BlizzCon 2018.
Fans, too, benefit from the Dignitas redesign. New merchandise will be available for fans to purchase, including jerseys, shirts, and sweats. Dignitas will celebrate the branding redesign with Buffalo Wild Wings on Nov. 9. A fan meet-and-greet will be held during the Rocket League World Championships in Las Vegas. Dignitas players like Super Smash Bros. Melee player Hugo “HugS” Gonzalez and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player Amanda “rain” Smith will be on hand to meet with fans, too.
Dignitas is changing its official social media hashtag alongside the brand overhaul. Inside of #DIGWIN, the team is suggesting #SeizeTheNight for fan use. The changes spread across all of Dignitas’ esports rosters, which includes Heroes of the Storm, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Rocket League, Smite, Clash Royale, and CS:GO.
