Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has a mixture of new weapons and old ones from previous games. The DG-58 is one of the newbies, and we’ve got the best DG-56 loadout to help.
Similar to the FAMAS, the DG-56 is a three-round burst weapon that works best in mid-to-long-range encounters. Though not mobile and lacking pure damage output, the DG-56 is a stable weapon that allows you to post up and pick off enemies. With the right attachment and loadout, however, you can take this burst weapon to the next level.
Here’s the best attachments to use in the best DG-56 loadout in MW3.
Best DG-56 loadout in MW3
The DG-56 is already a great burst weapon, but it can use some help from attachments in the gunsmith to turn it into a burst-fire laser beam. It can’t quite one-burst anymore (unless you’re in Hardcore modes) after a nerf shortly after launch, but it’s still one of the better guns in the game.
Best DG-56 attachments in MW3
- Muzzle: XTEN Ported 290
- Barrel: DG-56 LS18 Barrel
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Underbarrel: FTAC SP-10 Angled Grip
- Comb: Warrant Control Comb
This set of attachments will provide massive buffs to the AR’s damage, range, accuracy, and recoil control, making it one of the more formidable long-range options in the game. And if you’re a fan of Hardcore modes, say hello to the one-shot king. This thing is a beast, and can hold its own in core playlists as well.
Many of these attachments might not be available to use right after unlocking the weapon, but before then, you can use any materials that help stabilize the DG-56, improve accuracy, and reduce recoil.
Best DG-56 class setup in MW3
- Vest: Infantry Vest
- Handgun: Renetti
- Tactical: Stun Grenade
- Lethal: Semtex
- Field Equipment: Munitions Box or Trophy System
- Gloves: Commando Gloves
- Boots: Stalker Boots
- Gear: Tac Mask or EOD Padding
The key to success with the DG-56 is to remain accurate and undetected both by other players and on the radar. The Commando Gloves and Stalker Boots can help you remain consistent and hidden while traveling around the map.
The lethal and tactical grenades are largely up to player preference, but I find a quick stun makes targets far easier to hit. I also prefer to run with the Munitions Box, as keeping behind the front lines and picking off targets can quickly drain your ammo, but the Trophy System is always a good choice for protection.
