One-shot sniping has returned to Warzone in MW3, and the KATT-AMR stands head and shoulders above the rest of the pack, especially with our best KATT-AMR loadout in Warzone.

Unlike in Modern Warfare 2, the KATT-AMR can now one-shot kill from any range and with any attachments in MW3.

Here’s the best KATT-AMR sniper loadout for Warzone in MW3.

MW3 multiplayer fans will already know that the KATT-AMR gets held back by poor mobility. But while that is an issue in a six-vs-six format, it’s much different in a battle royale match. So instead of transforming the heavy sniper rifle into a quickscoping weapon, we leaned into its strengths and made a loadout suitable for long-range engagements.

Best KATT-AMR build in Warzone

  • Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor XL
  • Barrel: ZANG-34 Barrel
  • Stock: Precision Stock Pad
  • Bolt: Ephemeral Quickbolt
  • Ammunition: .50 Cal Spire Point Rounds

Modern Warfare 3‘s Urzikstan is 20 percent smaller than Modern Warfare 2‘s Al Mazrah, but that doesn’t mean this battle royale map isn’t huge. If you also take into account that players no longer need to worry about the massive bullet drop-off from explosive ammunition and the fact that the KATT-AMR one-shot kills to the head from any range, our loadout focuses on being able to take down enemies from as far away as possible.

So, we recommend using the Zonic Suppressor, ZANG-34 Barrel, and .50 CAL Spire Point Rounds, which all increase bullet velocity and damage range. Then, to prevent the rifle from swaying too much while aiming down sights, the Precision Stock Pad improves aiming idle sway and firing aim stability.

Finally, to make sure you aren’t too much of a sitting duck, the Ephemeral Quickbolt makes it possible to reload faster and get back into a gunfight sooner.

Tip: Learning how to snipe? Try a less powerful scope!

If you’re new to sniping or Call of Duty, you could try putting a more short-ranged site on your KATT-AMR to get a feel for how the gun works. While that won’t help for long-ranged encounters, which is what sniping is all about, it will certainly help you become more accustomed to how the weapon works in the flow of battle. Then, when you feel ready, you can attach a more suitable sniping scope.

Best KATT-AMR perks and equipment in Warzone

  • Perk Package:
    • Perk 1: Double Time
    • Perk 2: E.O.D.
    • Perk 3: Resupply
    • Perk 4: Resolute
  • Lethal: Frag Grenade
  • Tactical: Smoke Grenade

Movement is king in Warzone, and Double Time increases Tac Sprint duration and reduces refresh time. Having the ability to sprint longer will come in handy when escaping the gas, running across an empty space, or repositioning in a gunfight. That’s also where Resolute comes in, as the new perk provides a brief movement speed boost when taking gunfire damage.

Season one increased frag grenade close damage to 252, up from 140, and increased mid-range damage from 105 to 150. As a result, we recommend equipping E.O.D. to mitigate explosive damage and carrying a frag grenade of your own to chip away at enemies.

Smoke grenades dominated Warzone 2’s meta, and we don’t expect that to change throughout MW3. Despite seeing a nerf in season one that decreased smoke duration from 9.25 to 7.14 seconds, smoke grenades are still essential for rotating and escaping gunfights. With that in mind, Resupply recharges equipment over 50 seconds, which makes it even easier to always have a smoke grenade on hand.

In the end, though, a good KATT-AMR build is only as good as the player wielding it. If you’re not hitting your shots, then the loadout doesn’t matter. We recommend heading into Resurgence mode to practice with the sniper if you’re not getting one-shot kills before heading into battle royale to try and seek out wins there.

Unlocking the KATT-AMR

If you’re wondering how to unlock the KATT-AMR loadout in Warzone, don’t worry! All you need to do to acquire this powerful sniper is get to level 4. At that point, you’ll unlock Gunsmith, which will set you off on the path toward the best KATT-AMR loadout that you can imagine. However, you won’t be done just yet, as the high-grade attachments that we covered here are only available once you ramp up your gun’s level to 29!

Alternatives to KATT-AMR loadout in Warzone

If you can’t build up your KATT-AMR loadout as described here, for whatever reason, you can still get those one-shot kills with an alternative. In fact, there are several highly lethal guns that will do the job (nearly) just as well:

Any of the options above will serve as a worthy replacement for the preferred KATT-AMR build. Yet, we don’t see a reason why you couldn’t create the KATT-AMR loadout that you want. It will take a bit of time and effort, but it will be worth it to turn yourself into a serious force to be reckoned with!

Tip: Smoking kills (your enemies)

Use smoke grenades to cover your advance as you push forward into the playable circle.
