Major Two has concluded and it’s time to revisit our Call of Duty League MVP Ladder for the mid-season break.
The top five MVP candidates haven’t changed since our last ladder. Dashy and Cellium are still No. 1 and No. 2, Shotzzy received six first-place votes and is hot on the heels of both, and Scump and Simp are both yet again battling it out for the fourth and fifth spot.
Boston Breach placed third at Major Two after a huge performance from Methodz, which jumped the veteran from 10th in the last ladder to sixth this ladder, with only a few votes separating him and Scump at fifth.
London Royal Ravens, on the other hand, had a disappointing showing at Major Two. They had a quick exit from the tournament and placed top eight, pushing Zer0 out of the top 10 and sending Afro down to seventh.
In our final three spots, we have Asim, HyDra, and SlasheR all making their MVP Ladder debuts, pushing Zer0, iLLeY, and aBeZy out entirely.
Owakening didn’t quite make the list this time around. He received more than enough votes to qualify but unfortunately fell short, just missing out on the 10th spot to SlasheR.
Here’s a look at the top 10 MVP candidates for the 2022 CDL season following the Major Two tournament.
10) SlasheR

A lot of people wrote SlasheR off this season, but he’s back at the top after a historic and unthinkable run at Major Two, which pocketed himself and the Los Angeles Guerrillas $200,000 in the process.
SlasheR finished Major Two with a 1.08 kill/death ratio overall, the ninth-highest in the league, and finished the grand finals against Atlanta FaZe with 118 kills, 15,357 damage, and a 1.17 kill/death ratio over seven maps.

9) HyDra

HyDra has snuck his way into the MVP Ladder at the ninth spot despite New York Subliners sitting at 11th on the overall season standings, with only four wins.
The French phenom is top 10 in Hardpoint kills and damage per 10 minutes, top 10 in Control kills and damage per 10 minutes, as well sixth in Search and Destroy kills per round.
In another timeline, if New York Subliners were a top team, HyDra could likely run for MVP alongside Cellium, Dashy, and Shotzzy.

One of the most underrated players in the league.
Asim has landed at the eighth position, narrowly missing out on the seventh spot after securing his first event victory in his four-year career during Major Two.
Asim’s playstyle can’t be measured by most statistical numbers. He is one the most selfless players in the league, doing the dirty work on most maps and topping the leaderboard on every other map.
Asim finished the grand finals with a 0.98 kill/death ratio but had the most damage, most kills, and most interactions by almost 50 in the seven maps series.

London Royal Ravens’ top-eight finish at Major Two was far from ideal for the sophomore player and he’s dropped one place, down to seventh. He is now the only Ravens player on the ladder.
Afro struggled in London’s first two matchups at Major Two. Over both matches, he had the least damage across the board and finished with a combined 0.88 kill/ratio over seven maps.
He picked it up in London’s third and final match, finishing with the most kills, most damage, and highest kill/death ratio, but the series finished in a 0-3 sweep by Los Angeles Guerrillas.The Ravens were sent home and finished the tournament top eight.

Fresh off a third-place finish at Major Two, Boston Breach have looked incredible and are on their way to solidifying themselves as a top team in the league. The franchise is sitting at fourth on the season standings and Methodz has climbed his way up to the sixth place on the ladder.
Methodz dominated during Major Two. In their first-round match, he finished with a 1.61 kill/death ratio, 66 kills, and close to 8,000 damage over three maps, and he went on to finish the tournament with a 1.27 kill/death ratio overall.

Scump is still playing incredibly well this season and has held onto his fifth position in the ladder, while also closing in on Simp at fourth place, even after placing top-six at Major Two.
Search and Destroy is still Scump’s weak point, slightly dipping even further to 46th, 49th, and 44th in all three major categories. He’ll have to pick up the pace tenfold in this game mode if he wants to crack into the top three with his two teammates.

FaZe made it to yet another grand final at Major Two, adding to Simp’s already amazing resume.
Statistically, Major Two was Simp’s worst split this season, but the reigning MVP still put up decent numbers in the grand finals, where he was tied with the most kills in the series and had the most damage on his team by a large margin.
Simp and Scump have been battling for the fourth spot on the ladder since March, and for the second ladder in a row, Simp has again just beat Scump by a few votes.

The Major One champions had a horrible result at Major Two. Shotzzy, however, was incredible in the four matches they did play, averaging a 1.18 kill/death ratio over 16 maps, which included a game-high 111 kills in their 3-2 victory against the Los Angeles Thieves.
Shotzzy now holds the sixth-highest overall kill/death ratio in the league—the highest among all SMG players.

Atlanta FaZe fell short yet again at Major Two, placing second in back-to-back tournaments. This time, they lost to Los Angeles Guerrillas in the grand finals, where Cellium was the only player on FaZe to finish the series with a positive kill/death ratio.
Cellium and Dashy are still going head-to-head for the top spot on our ladder. Both players are tied for the number one overall kill/death ratio in the league, as well as both holding the top two kill/death ratios in Hardpoint.

Prior to Major Two, Dashy had begun to create some distance between himself and Cellium at second in our ladder. This time around, however, the two were separated by one single vote.
Like Shotzzy, Dashy was a superstar during Major Two and finished the tournament with a 1.30 kill/death ratio. Unfortunately for him, it only resulted in a top-six finish after OpTic Texas lost to Florida Mutineers and were sent home top-six.
Dashy still holds the number one Control kill/death ratio, number two Hardpoint kill/death ratio, the 10th highest Search and Destroy kill/death ratio, and he’s tied with Cellium for the number one overall kill/death ratio in the league at 1.22.
