Over 100 teams entered the open bracket at the Call of Duty World League Seattle Open this weekend with hopes of finishing the bracket undefeated and qualifying for pool play. But only four teams can do so, and these squads have now been determined.
Lightning Pandas, Enigma6, EZG Esports, and Ghost Gaming have clinched spots in pool play after completing the grueling open bracket without a loss. They’ll now join the 16 CWL Pro League teams in round-robin pool play.
Lightning Pandas—Ian “Enable” Wyatt, Jevon “Goonjar” Gooljar-Lim, Mathew “Royalty” Faithfull, and John “Xotic” Bruno—defeated GGEA Orange in their last open bracket match and were placed into Pool A. They’ll play against Echo Fox, FaZe Clan, Rise Nation, and Tainted Minds.
With a win over Vast Esports, Enigma6—Jordon General, Troy “Sender” Michaels, Steven “Diabolic” Ribero, and Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris—secured their spot in pool play. The team will compete in Pool C, where they’ll face eUnited, compLexity Gaming, Mindfreak, and Luminosity.
The most shocking team out of this group of four is undoubtedly EZG Esports, who took down Lethal Gaming in round three and then Nordic in the qualification match to reach Pool D. In their group, Devin “LlamaGod” Tran, Jimmy “Evasion” Svetich, Darien “NauX” Chverchko, and Saul “Parzelion” Masse-Siguenza will take on Team Kaliber, Evil Geniuses, Splyce, and Red Reserve.
Pool B’s newest team is Ghost Gaming, which features Andres Lacefield, Adam “GodRx” Brown, Casey “Pandur” Romano, and Christopher “Parasite” Duarte. Ghost, who were touted as one of the best teams in the open bracket, beat both Monaco Esports and Cyclone en route to pool play qualification.
Although the open winners bracket is complete, the CWL Seattle Open is far from over. Following the conclusion of pool play, the 24 best teams will compete in the championship bracket to determine who will walk away with $80,000, 100,000 pro points, and the CWL Seattle championship.
