The Call of Duty World League could be set to make another change to its official ruleset—and it’s a big one.
The first DLC pack for Call of Duty: WWII launched on PlayStation 4 on Jan. 30, and now, the CWL has teased that one of the new maps might be coming to professional play.
The CWL tweeted yesterday that there will be a “special announcement” at the start of the CWL Pro League broadcast on Tuesday, Feb. 6. And this tweet showed a GIF of one of the new DLC maps: Valkyrie.
This map, set in Hitler’s Wolf Lair in Prussia, has quickly become a popular discussion point in the competitive Call of Duty community. Some fans even think that Valkyrie’s layout is similar to Detroit from Advanced Warfare, although this hasn’t been confirmed by Sledgehammer.
But the CWL’s tweet wasn’t the only teaser posted on Friday. The official Call of Duty Twitter account also posted a tweet—and this one featured an interesting quote from OpTic Gaming’s Ian “Crimsix” Porter.
“The map has a great look and feel to it,” Crimsix said. “I believe it’s going to be a ton of fun to play in both public matches and in CWL competition.”
Both of these teasers make it seem likely that Valkyrie could be added to the official CWL ruleset very soon.
