With two seasons of Pro Series tournaments under their belt, Doesplay has decided to change things up a bit. The new format of the Doesplay Pro Series aims to give players more for their money. Teams entering competitions will be separated based on past performance into a pool of teams of similar skill. A total of 8 teams maximum will play in each pool, and this allows for beginners to face other beginners while the pros only face other top competition.

Will this prevent low-ranked teams from ever having a shot at the big dogs? Absolutely not! Doesplay plans to update rankings after every Pro Series event, making the pools as evenly matched as possible. Teams that won their pool the last event are likely to move up the ladder into a more difficult pool.

More specific information can be found in their Call of Duty Pro Series announcement.

This new format is truly a game-changer in competitive Call of Duty! It is a mixture of tournament play with league play, something that amateur players are unaccustomed to but very eager to join. With a tiered ranking system, all players will have the opportunity to play intense matches instead of blow-outs, and they also have the chance to show their true skill by moving up the ladder with time.

Will other eSports organizations follow suit? If not, Doesplay has competitive Call of Duty fans covered! They have recently expanded to North America. You can follow them on Twitter @DoesplayNACod and find competitions on their website for more information.
