Online play in Stage 1 of the Call of Duty World League has come to an end for teams playing in Europe. Played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the Call of Duty World League is the pinnacle of Call of Duty eSports. Activision, the game’s publisher, put up over $3 million in prize winnings this year and partnered with ESL to run the league.
Of the 10 teams in the European league, the bottom 4 will play in a relegation tournament to retain their spot for Stage 2. Stage 1 is not quite complete yet for the top 6 teams, who will be facing off on LAN and splitting a $200,000 prize pool among them.
