DMZ’s faction missions offer a great way to earn XP and weapons for your stash, but as you progress through each tier you’ll notice they become tougher to complete. The Season Four update brought the Phalanx faction, and with it, a whole new set of difficult missions to complete.
Some, however, might be familiar to players, such as the tier three mission The Transporter. Once a Legion faction mission, Phalanx now tasks you to drop into Al Mazrah and deliver an explosive to the U.S. Embassy.
There’s a catch, though—from the moment you drop in, you’re on the clock.
Completing The Transporter mission in DMZ
The Transporter is a tier three Phalanx faction mission that will have you race to the tunnel near Zaya Observatory, pick up the bomb charge in its entrance, and immediately ferry it over to the U.S. Embassy to blow up.
There are three steps to completing The Transporter mission in DMZ:
- Pick up the charge in the closed tunnel near Zaya Observatory
- Transport and drop the charge near the supply site at the U.S. Embassy in Al Mazrah City.
- Wait for the charge to detonate near the supply site.
As with any faction mission in DMZ, bringing a party will always make the mission easier, but there’s an element of luck to this one based on where you spawn.
Pick up the charge in the tunnel near Zaya Observatory
First point of order here, this is a timed mission. You will have a total of five minutes to complete this mission, so once the session clock hits 20 minutes to go, your time is up. This is because the explosive charge you’ll need to pick up has a five-minute timer that begins the moment you start the session, so get to it.
Drop into Al Mazrah and head directly for the closed tunnel outside Zaya Observatory in E5. There are many tunnels near the observatory, but only one of them is closed off. In front of the bunker door you’ll see a bomb ticking away. Grab it immediately and go.
I got a lucky spawn towards the south of the map, right next to a quad bike, which meant I had plenty of time to collect the bomb. If you spawned on the other side of the map without a fast vehicle, I’d honestly give up and go again in another session. Having enough time to grab the bomb and get to the U.S. Embassy is key.
Drop the charge near the U.S. Embassy supply site
Once you’ve grabbed the bomb, you need to get to the U.S. Embassy, which is to the north of Al Mazrah City. In the center of the embassy’s cluster of buildings is a supply box—this is where you’ll need to plant the bomb.
Try and ignore as many AI enemies as possible as the timer continues to tick while you travel with the bomb. Should the timer hit 20:00 and you’re still holding the bomb, it’ll explode, immediately killing you.
One tip: head northeast towards the highway first, as there is a gas station with an assortment of replacement cars. If you find you’ll run out of gas before reaching the embassy, having an alternate vehicle pinged and ready to switch into might just save your mission.
Wait for the charge to detonate
Once you’re prompted to plant the bomb, press your interaction key and wait (at a safe distance of course). The U.S. Embassy is swarming with enemies so getting away might be a little tricky. Bring plenty of armor plates and ammo.
Once the bomb detonates at exactly 20:00, your mission is complete. You won’t have to exfil to complete the mission.
