DMZ offers a wide variety of new gameplay mechanics and aspects of the game that transfers between Warzone and Modern Warfare 2. One of these is the addition of the M13B, which is a season one assault rifle that can only be unlocked through playing DMZ.

Here’s how to unlock the M13B in MW2, Warzone, and DMZ.

How to get the M13B in MW2 and Warzone

To unlock the M13B the traditional way, a player will have to locate the radiation zone in DMZ’s Al Mazrah. The zone will be indicated on the tac map as a large yellow circle. Within this circle is where the chemist is located, which is who the player needs to defeat to receive the M13B blueprint.

The chemist can be identified by his yellow hazmat suit, which is different from all other characters, and will be heavily armored alongside multiple armored bodyguards. Once defeated, the chemist will drop one blueprint for the M13B. Whichever player has this blueprint on them when exfiltrating will unlock the gun permanently. But that isn’t the only way to unlock the M13B in DMZ.

Instead of defeating the chemist to obtain the blueprint, players can earn it by extracting the weapon successfully in a round of DMZ. Players need to find the gun as ground loot, or it can be done by having it dropped to them by another player.

The players still have to have the blueprint on their character when exfiltrating but they can have it dropped to them by another player who has already earned it by defeating the chemist.

Once dropped, players can then immediately exfil afterward, which will grant the player holding it the blueprint. This glitch can be replicated multiple times to ensure all the members of the party can have the blueprint as well.

When the M13B is unlocked, players can use it in MW2 multiplayer, Warzone battle royale, or add it to their own loadouts in DMZ. The assault rifle “features a short-stroke piston system that allows for a high rate of fire and low recoil,” according to its in-game description.
