A day after Dylan “MadCat” Daly revealed he would not be competing with Splyce in Black Ops 4, Joshua-Lee “Joshh” Shephard has confirmed that he’s no longer a part of the European organization’s Call of Duty roster either.
Joshh rejoined Splyce in May following the release of Thomas “Tommey” Trewren. Despite the lineup’s familiarity with each other, Splyce arguably looked worse than they ever had before.

In the three events they competed together—CWL Anaheim, Stage Two, and the CWL Championship—Splyce failed to crack the top eight in any of them. And in the season’s finale, the $1.5 million CWL Championship, the team were eliminated in pool play.
Once considered the best team in all of Europe and one of the top squads in the entire world, it’s been a somewhat rough year for Splyce. Since last May—when they became the first European team to win a major offline CoD event—Splyce struggled to live up to the expectations many of their European fans likely set.
With MadCat and Joshh’s departures, only Ben Bance and Jordan “Jurd” Crowley remain on Splyce’s roster. Luckily, the European talent pool has some of the best players in the world in the likes of Matthew “Skrapz” Marshall and Bradley “Wuskin” Marshall. They’ll need to either buy out those players, however, or secure trade deals for them.
After being on the top of the world, top 24 finishes are no longer acceptable for Splyce. Its CoD roster may see even more departures as the offseason progresses, but for now, it’s up to Jurd and Bance to build a championship-contending lineup heading into Black Ops 4.
