Both teams fought with their tournament lives on the line on Saturday, and Luminosity emerged victorious, taking the 3-0 series victory.

Josiah “Slacked” Berry, Sam “Octane” Larew, Nicholas “Classic” DiCostanzo, and Renato “Saints” Forza started the series with a strong 250-211 win on Breakout Hardpoint.

The two teams then traded rounds back and forth on Throwback Search and Destroy, despite Splyce’s Dylan “MadCat” Daly getting off to a fantastic start—earning crucial scorestreaks for his team.

But a sneaky round 10 smoke defuse from Luminosity gave them the 6-4 victory over the Europeans.

Now with complete control of the series, Luminosity just demolished Splyce on Precinct Uplink, winning 15-3 to eliminate the Europeans from CoD Champs 2017.

Splyce was the last European team remaining in the tournament, but they will leave this $1.5 million event with a top eight placing.

Luminosity, who has been on a tear in the losers bracket, will now have a rematch against eUnited—who just lost to Team EnVyUs—to see which team will be eliminated from CoD Champs 2017.
