Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has replayability and fun unlocks for players, including weekly challenges and limited-time camos. To unlock cool stuff, you must know how to view weekly challenges in MW3 to track your progress.
So, here’s how to view and unlock weekly challenges in MW3.
How to view weekly challenges in MW3
To view weekly challenges, press the Options button on PS5 to open up the in-game menus (F1 key on PC) and then select Challenges.
From here, you can see all subsets of challenges in MW3, including Weekly, Daily, Armory Unlocks, Weapons, Operator Challenges, and Calling Cards. Select Weekly and take a peek at what you have to do.
There’s a set of weekly challenges for every week in a season. Before season one in MW3, we were in season zero. During each season, there are four weeks’ worth of challenges in multiplayer and Zombies. You can swap between weeks by pressing L1 and R1.
To earn the rewards, you must complete the listed challenges, like getting 20 Operator Kills with the MCW. For an example of rewards, the JAK Raven kit is unlocked by completing any five challenges in week one, and there are more challenges and unlocks for each week in each subsequent season.
The challenges may not be tracking, but something else is happening here.
Why are Weekly Challenges not tracking in MW3?
This is important to know: If you want to get credit for one of the four weekly challenges towards the Golden River camo, you must complete the listed challenge every week. This means no one will be able to get Golden River until week four at the earliest.
The game’s wording is improper and should be fixed in an upcoming patch. But to get Golden River and all future Weekly Camos, you must finish the listed challenge every week of a given season. For example, week one’s challenge is to unlock the JAK Raven Kit, which is done by completing five weekly challenges.
Additionally, sometimes the tracking won’t register appropriately due to a bug. It’s important to know that your weekly challenges are being tallied, but they won’t appear on the tracker.
Outside of acknowledging the bug and keeping track of yourself, which could have its charm, you can always try resetting or restarting the game. This isn’t a guarantee, but it could help the game record your progress correctly and show it in the challenges.
Make sure to complete at least five weekly challenges in MP or Zombies each week to unlock each season’s unique camo.
So, there you have it. Now you know everything you need to know about how to view and complete weekly challenges in MW3. Good luck!
