It’s been a hot minute since we’ve had a decent shotgun in Call of Duty. Perhaps the shotguns of old CoD‘s scared off developers, like the AA-12 or SPAS-12 back in Modern Warfare 2, but there may just be a new entry into the all-time weapon list thanks to Black Ops 6.

The Marine SP is a solid shotgun weapon system capable of killing at moderate range, but it has drawbacks that prevent it from truly taking over a lobby. We’re out to change that with these attachments and perks that make you the king of the server.

Here’s our best build for the Marine SP in Black Ops 6.

Best Marine SP build in Black Ops 6

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Stock: Light Stock
  • Fire Mods: Rapid Fire

We’re making the Marine SP into an all-around beast of a primary with this build, which uses the Rapid Fire mod to speed up its fire rate immensely. The drawback of the weapon is its short range and long pump-action timing, so combining Rapid Fire with a Long Barrel covers both our major disadvantages off the bat.

From here, we’re leaning into mobility, so a Light Stock combined with a Muzzle Brake keeps us locked onto target both faster and longer. A Ranger Foregrip rounds out the build—while the Quick Load Barrel sounds like it makes more sense, the drop to just four shots really weakens the weapon as a primary.

Equipment

  • Pistol: Personal preference
  • Melee: Knife
  • Tactical: Stim Shot
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Field Upgrade: Assault Pack

Perks and class setup

  • Perk One: Assassin
  • Perk Two: Gung-Ho
  • Perk Three: Bankroll or Double Time
  • Perk Four: Dispatcher or Ghost
  • Wildcard: Perk Greed
  • Specialty: Enforcer

Much like our C9 and Jackal builds, we want to stay on the move here and make the most of our Enforcer Specialty bonus, which grants movement speed and health regen on kill. For this, we’ll use Assassin, Gung-Ho, and Bankroll for our main three perks.

Thanks to Perk Greed, we can spec into a fourth perk. Here, I’ve suggested Dispatcher as, combined with Bankroll, you’ll be able to get your non-lethal scorestreaks much faster. If you aren’t too worried about scorestreaks or prefer the lethal variety, go for Double Time in perk three and Ghost in perk four to keep the Enforcer bonus.
