MLG WILL HOST THE CASTOFF 2
Prior to the 2015 Call of Duty Championship, MLG hosted a competition for potential game casters. The competition worked in a similar manner to American Idol, where contestants auditioned and were judged by the best casters in the business: Puckett, Benson, and Mr. X. In the first edition of the show, Chance won and was flown to Los Angeles to cast at CoD Champs. The other finalists had the opportunity to cast on the main stage as well, at the North American Regional Finals.
This time around, the Castoff winner will earn the opportunity to cast at the XGames, where the Season 2 Pro League finals will be held. This is the second time in two years that MLG has been invited to attend XGames Austin, and the second time that Call of Duty will make an appearance.
Those interested in applying for the competition can do so here. The submission period ends on April 16th and there are 3 game play videos available to choose from. Good luck to everyone attempting to be the next big name in Call of Duty casting! As always, the unique competition will be a fun one to watch.
MLG Pro League
After CoD Champs, Roster Mania happened. At the end of it, and it’s not necessarily over, barely any teams stayed intact. In fact, the champions,Denial, may be the only team whose starting roster has not changed. If second place Team Revenge had made it into the Pro League, they would likely be together as well.
Why isn’t Roster Mania necessarily over? Mostly because the trade window for the Pro League doesn’t end until April 29th. The current standings and current starting rosters are listed below, but are subject to change. The season ends on May 22nd, and the XGames will take place June 5th-7th.
