One of the most highly-anticipated zombies experiences in Call of Duty history is finally live and available to play on PlayStation 4.
As of midnight on May 16, the Zombies Chronicles DLC map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III can be downloaded. Zombies Chronicles features eight remastered zombies maps from previous Treyarch games that fans of the game mode have been anxiously waiting to play since rumors of a fifth DLC map pack began swirling months ago.
Nacht der Untoten, Verrückt, Shi No Numa, Kino der Toten, Ascension, Shangri-La, Moon, and Origins are all being remastered as a part of the Zombies Chronicles map pack.
The majority of the maps in Zombies Chronicles are from Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops, which were released in 2008 and 2010 respectively. Origins is the only map from Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and even that game is over four years old—Black Ops II was released in November 2012.
Zombies Chronicles gives a lot of younger Call of Duty zombies fans a chance to play some of these classic maps for the first time—while simultaneously providing hardcore zombies players with a chance to relive the enjoyment of these memorable maps.
Zombies Chronicles costs $29.99, and is not included in the original Black Ops III season pass. The Zombies Chronicles map pack also comes with 20 vials of Liquid Divinium to use in Dr. Monty’s Factory, two brand new Whimsical Gobblegums, and an exclusive Pack-a-Punch weapon camo.
While Xbox One and PC Call of Duty players will have to wait to play this map pack, PlayStation 4 users can now enjoy slaying the living dead in Zombies Chronicles for many months to come. If you are a fan of Call of Duty zombies, you’re definitely going to want to get your hands on Zombies Chronicles.
