It’s important to know how to deal with each of the monsters and get back to the Diving Bell in Content Warning. You have to survive and record at the same time, so knowing what you’re recording will make the trip easier.
When you submerge to record your videos, you’ll encounter a variety of monsters that will try to kill you and your SpöökTuber friends while you record them to get views and make money.
All creatures in Content Warning
While there aren’t official names for the Content Warning monsters, the game provides small hints on how to deal with these creatures. The only way to see these hints is to get footage of the monsters and upload it to SpöökTube. Somehow, your fans know more about the monsters you face than you do. Keep an eye on the comment section when a monster you recorded appears on screen. You can learn an interesting fact about them, leading to a viable counter for the next time you run into them.
The monsters and items in Content Warning randomly generate every time you enter the Old World. Where you spawn in is randomized, too, with a chance of monsters appearing as soon as you exit the Diving Bell. With similarities to Lethal Company monsters, you may be able to guess how to counter these creatures if you’re a scrap-run veteran.
We have given each monster a name based on their appearance and what they do. Each monster has a unique look, attack, and sound that will help you identify them even in the dark. Here are all the monsters we found in Content Warning and how to survive them in our detailed chart below.
This article is a work in progress, with images of each monster on the way soon. Keep your eyes peeled for more monsters as this isn’t the final list.
Monster | Threat Level | Description | How to deal with |
---|---|---|---|
Captcha Trap | Medium | A giant iron maiden that holds the player until a friend solves a Captcha puzzle to free them in 15 seconds. | Solve the Captcha puzzle. If the friend fails three times, the trapped player is killed. You cannot solve this trap on your own, so solo players beware. |
Spider | Medium | A spider-like creature with a flat face that shoots webs and kills the trapped prey. | Keep a distance from the Spider to avoid being strung up by its web. Use spacebar to navigate across the webs. You are drastically slowed down if you get caught. |
Snail Man | Low | A small and slow creature that looks like a snail person. It does small damage if it catches you. | Due to its slow movement, try to get into a large room to easily get around the Snail Man without being caught by its strong grip. |
Wisk-Head | Low | A mannequin with a kitchen mixer for a head. | Lead the Wisk-Head to a wall and strafe out of the way when it charges. This monster easily falls over, use that to your advantage. |
Caterpillar | Medium | A caterpillar body with a skeletal head. Has giant hands that he uses to capture people and throw at other players. | Run to avoid being grabbed and thrown. A single throw against the wall can kill you. |
Robo-Dog | High | A small robot armed with a machine gun and a red laser. | It can spot you from afar so avoid standing in its red laser. |
Screamer | Low | A small humanoid creature with a giant mouth. Screams at players to silence comms, master and SFX volumes. | Run in the opposite direction of this little guy to avoid losing your hearing. Stick with friends as the Screamer likes to target solo players. |
Eye Bird | Low | A walking eye equipped with a club. | The Eye Bird only attacks if you shine your flashlight or camera light directly at it. |
Stabbing Ghost | Low | A short costume-like ghost holding a knife that will attack you. | Keep running to avoid being stabbed, it will eventually give up chasing you. |
Star | Low | This star-shaped monster pulls a player into the ceiling if you walk underneath it. | Works similar to a Snare Flea in Lethal Company. Throw an object at the Star with Q to save your trapped friend. You cannot save yourself if you get caught, so don’t stand underneath it. |
Snatcher | Medium | Grabs players from the shadows and kills them instantly. | You’ll hear a loud noise before it comes after you. Shine a flashlight into the shadows and directly on it to scare it away. |
Flicker | High | A tall monster with a body shaped like a hand, and a giant eye as its face. | Leave the area, choosing to look at walls and cover when you see flickering lights and hear static to avoid being attacked by this monster. Just like Minecraft’s Enderman, don’t look at it. |
Tardigrade | Low | A see through water bear that grabs players and takes them to other enemies. It doesn’t deal damage. | It’s mostly harmless but avoid going up to it as it will drag you to hostile enemies. |
All Ears | Low | A creature with a giant ear for a head and a porous body. | Scare it away with loud noises. |
Explosive Frog | Medium | A monster that jumps and releases multiple explosives when it lands. | Try to get above it using stairwells and debris. Use the height and cover to avoid being hit by its explosives. |
Ghost | TBD | A white ghost. | TBD |
The Barnacle | High | A round monster with three attacks: melee, projectiles, and tentacles. | Run as far and as quickly as you can, hiding into cover to avoid its projectiles. |
Slapper | Medium | A large humanoid figure with large eyes and mouth. Missing a nose. Deals damage through slaps. | Don’t let the Slapper see you or it will persistently chase and attack you. |
Aminal Stateu | Low | A misspelt animal head statue that lifts players into the air and deals ticking damage when picked up. | Never pick this up if you’re solo. The statue’s effect will continue until you die even if you throw the statue away. The only way to survive is if another player throws the correctly named statue and you successfully grab it mid-air. |
