Astralis are the champions of BLAST Pro Series Lisbon, the last international CS:GO event of 2018.
The Danes completed the year with one final championship victory, losing only one map to Natus Vincere in the process. After going undefeated in the group stage vs. Na’Vi, Cloud9, MIBR, FaZe Clan, and Ninjas in Pyjamas, Astralis went on to the best-of-three grand final against Na’Vi.

Na’Vi shocked Astralis on the first map of the grand finals, Overpass, with dominant executes and defenses, effectively tilting them early on. All of the Danish stars except Peter “dupreeh” Rothmann struggled in the frag column, allowing Na’Vi to take map one 16-7 despite countless mistakes in both halves.
The CIS powerhouse took both pistol rounds on map two, Cache, but they couldn’t get any momentum throughout the map during buy rounds vs. the Danes. Egor “flamie” Vasilyev had the biggest impact throughout the map at 23 kills and a 101.8 average damage per round stat in his team’s loss. Astralis answered back with a 16-9 scoreline.
Astralis then slaughtered Na’Vi on Dust II at 16-4 to end the tournament. Dupreeh concluded the series on top of the scoreboard once again at 25 frags in the series decider.
BLAST Pro Series Lisbon is Astralis’ 10th successful title run of the year. Their previous championships were won at DreamHack Masters Marseille, the EPL Season Seven Finals, the ECS Season Five Finals, the ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier, the FACEIT London Major, BLAST Pro Series Istanbul, IEM Chicago, the ECS Season Six Finals, and the EPL Season Eight Finals.
Astralis were, without a doubt, the best CS:GO team in the world in 2018.
