CS2 isn’t about just playing maps such as Mirage and Inferno. Fortunately, Valve allows the community to design lots of custom maps that are good for practicing or just having fun with your friends in CS2.
In fact, some of the best maps we have in Counter-Strike were entirely designed by members of the community and not Valve itself. But, given that CS2 is a fresh game, there are lots of new players who have never heard of how to play custom maps.
Without further ado, here are the best custom maps available in CS2.
The best custom maps in CS2
Though we’re just at the start of CS2’s cycle, map makers have been developing maps since the game was still in beta. And after Valve updated CS2 on Nov. 2, 2023, custom maps are now shown on the game’s official workshop page on Steam.
Here are the best custom maps we could find.
Aim Botz
Aim Botz is your go-to custom map when it comes to warming up your aim before matches. The map lets you kill bots and customize the configs the way you want. It’s a great option, especially if you don’t enjoy playing Deathmatch.
Crashz’ Crosshair Generator v4
Just like Aim Botz, crashz’ Crosshair Generator v4 has been a staple map in the community since the CS:GO days. With this map, you can customize your CS2 crosshair the way you want pretty fast and if you are looking for references, there’s also a big panel with crosshairs used by the most famous professional players.
GG Predict training hub
If you’re coming to play CS2 but are more used to VALORANT, there’s a high chance you’ll enjoy the GG Predict training hub. The map is very similar to VALORANT‘s training map and is yet another alternative for you to train your spray control and warm up.
Brewery
Brewery is one of the best Wingman—a mode in which four people play a two-vs-two match—maps available for CS2 and is much more fun than playing on reduced versions of CS2’s competitive maps Nuke, Vertigo, Overpass, and Inferno because it was designed for that purpose. On top of being a good map, Brewery’s graphics are quite astonishing.
Kz Hub
If you’re new to Counter-Strike, you’ve probably never heard of KZ maps. The acronym stands for KreedZ, the original map maker of these maps that allow players to work on their jumping, bunny hopping, and strafing abilities. KZ Hub is just a CS2 port of the KZ mode included in the famous CS:GOHUB map, but it works incredibly well for people who are new to KZ. The objective of the map is to complete every jump possible.
CS2 has been officially out since Sept. 27 and, as time goes on, map makers will be providing the new version of their CS:GO maps. On Nov. 3, the number of custom maps is still low, but we’ll add more great maps to this list once they’re out.
