FaZe Clan and Mousesports have placed first in their groups at ESL One Belo Horizonte, earning them the first two slots in the playoffs this weekend.
FaZe won the Group A winners’ match against Space Soldiers, while Mouz defeated Liquid in the Group B winners’ match. FaZe and Mouz will be given a break tomorrow for finishing number one in their group, and the remaining teams at ESL’s $200,000 event will be fighting for the last bracket spots on Saturday, June 16.

Space Soldiers commanded the series against FaZe early on with a 7-1 lead, but that was stunted on Inferno by the European juggernaut’s fragging power and explosive play style later in the map, which ended 16-9. Following FaZe’s Inferno win, SS only won a string of five rounds on Mirage, thanks to their first buy round win, before FaZe pulled away with the match entirely. FaZe crushed Space Soldiers 16-6 to complete the 2-0 sweep, while Jorgen “cromen” Robertsen and Nikola “NiKo” Kovac topped the server in both maps.
The Liquid vs. Mouz storyline was fairly similar, with the North Americans winning a few executes on Inferno early on. Mouz won Inferno 16-9 with relative ease after halftime, and it was smooth sailing for the European-majority team once they got to their map pick, Train. Robin “ropz” Kool performed the best for Mouz in the series, with 23 kills per map and a 1.59 HLTV 2.0 rating throughout, while usual Liquid star Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken didn’t do too well at an average 10 kills in the series.
