French tournament organizer ESWC originally scheduled its tournament to take place at Paris Games Week.  It had yet to announce any teams for the tournament. ESWC hasn’t announced when the rescheduled tournament will run, saying only that it’s “working on a new international event, which will be announced shortly.”

Paris Games Week will still feature a Counter-Strike event, though it will be significantly downgraded. ESWC has changed the event to a $15,000 French only tournament that players are able to sign up for on its website.

ESWC is the only casualty to the conflicting schedules DreamHack Cluj-Napoca has caused. The other major competitor with the Valve-sponsored tournament will be the finals for the League of Legends World Championships, which will run 1,000 kilometres away in Berlin, Germany.

The last ESWC event was held in Montreal, Canada, and featured 16 top tier teams from around the world, with Na’vi taking first place, Cloud9 second, and EnvyUs/Flipsid3 rounding out the podium.
