New maps and a lot of fun are found in this new operation. One major addition is the Blitz mission and global quests. Additionally, more than 50 missions are available in the two campaigns.

Seven community maps have been added and drops are granted to successful agents of the campaigns. Of course, Valve added a new package for those who want more skins. The introduction of the Bowie Knife will light fire in the eyes of some fans. The season pass costs $5.99 and as in other seasons, your pass ranks up and your stats are saved with it.

Map changes

One of my favorite maps finally got reworked; Nuke is back in the competitive pool. For now, it is only in the Operation Wildfire map pool. First released in 1999, this map has been through it all. The new map design was based on community feedback, as stated by Valve.

The primary goal of redesigning the art for Nuke was to modernize and improve the graphical fidelity of the game and improve gameplay (…) Player map callouts are also more specific and understandable since each location in the map has been given a clearly-defined purpose in the facility.

Cache and Mirage have been improved as well. While Cache received some bug fixes (some wallbang spots are gone now) and visual improvement for the radar, the A and B spots were altered a bit on Mirage. The wall lamps from ticketbooth to mid have been removed. A plywood board was added to make grenades more predictable and a shelf at market has been removed. Furthermore, Safehouse, Lake, and Shoots got adjustments.

To put the other updates in a nutshell: Valve made improvements to the games resource management, made overlay changes, and added code to work with the new co-op missions.
