Former Hellraisers star Tomas “Oskar” Stastny joined German side Mousesports today, replacing Johannes “Nex” Maget.
Oskar joins the side after almost a year on the Hellraisers lineup. He quickly rose up and became the team’s star before stepping down in late June due to ongoing contract negotiations with Mousesports.
Rumors have circulated for weeks that the Czech player would join the side, and fans believe that Oskar could be the answer to Mousesports problems. The AWP player could be in line to replace Chris “ChrisJ” De Jong as the main AWPer on the side, or perhaps he will transition to a more rifle focused playstyle.
“I want to thank mousesports for putting their trust in me,” Oskar said in a statement on the team’s website. “I hope I can help the team to reach its goals, which are now my goals as well”
Mousesports CEO Cengiz Tuylu said that he was “excited to see Oskar in a Mousesports jersey. I feel like oskar is the right fit for us, as he is not only a great player but also clicks with the team on a personal level”
Mousesports recently progressed to the semifinals of ELEAGUE and will be hoping to build on that performance after adding the extra firepower of Oskar.
