Popular musician Deadmau5, who was banned from Twitch a few days ago after going on a homophobic rant on stream, has apologized for another recent outburst towards Twitch.
Deadmau5 originally lashed out at Twitch for its decision to ban him from the platform, claiming the company had a “double standard when it comes to censoring and suspending” him. Deadmau5 also promised never to work with the platform again for collaborations.
After the dust settled, however, and Deadmau5 had chance to reflect on his actions, the musician posted on Reddit once again to apologize for his choice of words.
“I know what I said was wrong, and my hastily composed non-apology was an insult to injury.” Deadmau5 said. “They (Twitch) had every right to ban me for that, it was clearly in violation of their terms”
Even with the apology, it seems like Deadmau5 still has no plans to return to the platform anytime soon, instead stating that he is going to go focus on “cubes and music” instead in the meantime.
