Twitch streamer Michael “shroud” Grzesiek has completed the first surgery on his left elbow. Shroud retweeted a message his friend Justin “Just9n” Ortiz published earlier that day. The photo shows shroud and his injured elbow along with flowers and a card the streamer’s friends had sent him before the surgery.
Shroud injured his elbow in a scooter accident on March 11. Just9n said on his own stream that shroud “hit the brakes too hard, and he flew over the handlebars about 10 to 12 feet onto the asphalt.” According to Just9n, shroud fell on his left elbow to protect his right arm, which “put a huge hole on his elbow” and probably tore a ligament while knocking loose a piece of elbow bone.
Yesterday afternoon, Just9n published a picture of shroud smiling and showing his elbow, which had a huge red injury and apparently a small hole. He was undergoing surgery when Just9n published that picture.
Shroud already said on Twitter he will be “out of commission” for a while and that he already misses streaming for his audience. It’s unclear at this time how many surgeries shroud will have to undergo in this hospital stay, or how serious his elbow injury really was.
Shroud known for his performance as a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player for Cloud9, but he has moved to full-time streaming first-person shooter games like Apex Legends.
