Dead by Daylight has announced it will feature a collaboration with the Five Night at Freddy’s (FNAF) franchise. The announcement was built up throughout the day, initially teased by the FNAF creator, Scott Cawthon, for the series’ 10th anniversary. It will be released sometime in summer 2025.
Although we have to wait a full year before the collaboration comes to Dead by Daylight, fans couldn’t be more excited about this announcement. It’s been one of the more widely demanded crossovers by the game’s community for several years, and many fans will finally get their wish. We don’t know how in-depth this collaboration will be, but we hope to see some distinct Killers making their way over to Dead by Daylight from the FNAF franchise.
The build-up surrounding Cawthon’s announcement of a surprise partnership has been bubbling throughout the day. Many believed it would be a Fortnite crossover, which still could happen, given the popularity of FNAF. How deep this partnership will go is still up in the air, but the Dead by Daylight team at Behaviour Interactive has a full year to prepare plenty of surprises for their fans.
It’s a spot-on collaboration for both franchises, with Dead by Daylight continuing to add more widely regarded horror icons and themes to their growing library. Given how far the Dead by Daylight team has gone with many of their collaborations, we can expect at least a Killer or two to be added, along with various FNAF-inspired cosmetics. Summer 2025 can’t come soon enough for Dead by Daylight fans.
We won’t learn more about what’s coming from these two teams until next year, but fans can look forward to the upcoming Castlevania crossover that was teased during the Dead by Daylight eighth anniversary stream. The Behaviour Interactive team did share they’d be sharing details on Aug. 6, and fans can’t wait to see what’s to come with this team-up with Konami.
