The Prophet god roll and best perks in Destiny 2

What a stacked perk pool.

The Prophet is a hard-hitting contender for Stasis weaponry in Destiny 2, especially if you score its god roll. This Trials of Osiris scout rifle has plenty to offer, potentially making PvP and PvE players alike farm for it.

Its stacked perk pool is one of many factors behind the Prophet’s greatness. It’s a great choice for Stasis builds, but it has excellent perks at your disposal even if you’re not wielding ice. This weapon also borrows the Aggressive Frame archetype from the captivating Long Arm from Spire of the Watcher (and the far less captivating Last Rite, the season 21 ritual weapon).

Here are our god rolls for the Prophet in Destiny 2 for both activity types.

This Aggressive Frame scout rifle has some fantastic perk combinations for both PvE and PvP. In both cases, you can’t go wrong with Keep Away, which grants an increase in reload, range, and accuracy if you’re at range from a target. A little less useful in PvE, but it’s an all-around beast of a perk for a scout rifle.

Alternatively for PvE look into getting a Rapid Hit and Precision Instrument roll. These perks turn The Prophet into a solid backup weapon for major and boss damage if you run dry on ammo for your other weapons. If you’d prefer to lean into a Stasis build, grab Headstone for those extra crystals on headshot kill.

Since The Prophet is found in Trials, it’s a no-brainer that heaps of perks are ideal for PvP. Alongside Keep Away, I like Hip-Fire Grip—after all, the weapon is designed to be used from the hip. Kill Clip is my go-to pick for column two, although the flinch factor of Explosive Payload is also certainly viable.

How to get The Prophet in Destiny 2

The Prophet is only available through the completion of Trials of Osiris, the weekend-only PvP activity that kicks off at Saint-14 in the Tower’s hangar. Once you earn the weapon for the first time through playing Trials, you’ll be able to use Trials Engrams to focus on a copy of the gun with random rolls.

An Adept version of the weapon is available for completing a flawless run of Trials and entering the Lighthouse. You’ll also be able to enhance existing copies of The Prophet to unlock those sweet enhanced perks, but keep in mind you can’t get a weapon pattern for this weapon—it’s not craftable.
