The Tinasha's Mastery sidearm in Destiny 2. This sidearm looks like the High Albedo pistol from Europa, though filled with the green, bronze, and yellow motifs from Iron Banner.

Here are the Tinasha’s Mastery god rolls and how to get them in Destiny 2

Time to replace your Riptide. Here are the best perks on Tinasha's Mastery.

Tinasha’s Mastery marks the first Stasis-based addition to the rocket sidearm archetype in Destiny 2, and its god roll naturally borrows some of the icy subclass’ power to harbor its potential.

Getting your hands on this rocket sidearm may not be easy, however. Tinasha’s Mastery is locked behind Iron Banner, a seasonal PvP activity that only rolls in periodically. In that sense, it’s similar to grinding a Nightfall weapon, which involves some waiting.

While you may find it hard to set foot into the Crucible if you’re a PvE player, this Stasis sidearm is more than worth it, especially while it’s new and focusing is still cheap. You can also get drops even if you lose, so it may be worth taking on the Iron Banner if you want a shot at this gun.

Here are our PvE and PvP god rolls for Tinasha’s Mastery in Destiny 2.

What is the Tinasha’s Mastery god roll in Destiny 2?

Tinasha’s Mastery PvE god roll

  • Launcher Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: Appended Mag
  • Perk one: Air Trigger
  • Perk two: Chill Clip
  • Masterwork: Blast Radius
  • Weapon Mod: Aerodynamics

Tinasha’s Mastery PvP god roll

  • Launcher Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
  • Perk one: Impulse Amplifier
  • Perk two: Adagio
  • Masterwork: Velocity
  • Weapon Mod: Aerodynamics

Tinasha’s Mastery has a bevy of good perks across its columns, but the best combination is Air Trigger with Chill Clip. Air Trigger may sound like an unorthodox choice, but it increases ammo reserves alongside reload speed when in the air (one small jump is enough). Increased reserves mean you can take advantage of Chill Clip more often.

Other perks in the third column that you may consider are Impulse Amplifier for increased reload speed and velocity, Loose Change for increased reload speed when applying a debuff, and Deconstruct to refill the mag by landing hits.

Any of the above synergizes perfectly with Chill Clip. Chill Clip slows targets with hits from the top half of the magazine, providing a ton of utility in any activity. Slow can stun Overload Champions, while shooting multiple shots freezes an opponent and can stun Unstoppable Champions. This synergy alone can make this an essential tool if you plan to take on some endgame content. Outside of slowing, rocket sidearms are also a good source of damage, with enough ammo to keep you going forever.

If you can’t get a Chill Clip roll or want more damage, we recommend One for All or Frenzy. One for All grants a 35 percent damage buff by hitting three separate targets. It’s easy to trigger in almost any activity and doesn’t require a kill. Frenzy is another good perk for a flat damage increase. Staying in combat for 12 seconds grants a 15 percent increased damage. It’s not as strong as One for All, but it will do just fine.

When it comes to PvP, you don’t want to use Tinasha’s Mastery or any rocket sidearm. There are a few perks that you can use, including Impulse Amplifier and Adagio, but even with maxed-out velocity, these weapons are simply not reliable in securing a kill.

How to get Tinasha’s Mastery in Destiny 2

Tinasha’s Mastery is exclusive to Iron Banner, so you can only obtain this weapon while Valus Saladin is in the Tower.

You can get Tinasha’s Mastery from these sources:

  • At the end of Iron Banner matches
  • By opening or focusing Iron Engrams
  • As a reward from the Iron Banner reputation track

You may have to unlock Tinasha’s Mastery through Saladin’s rank before you can get it as end-of-match drops, but Destiny 2 is unusually generous with weapons and Iron Engram drops. The available rolls on his stock rotate every few days, but winning Iron Banner guarantees a random weapon drop and has a high chance of dropping an Iron Engram.
