How to complete A Glowing Solstice in Destiny 2

It's a hefty grind for this armor set during Destiny 2's Solstice 2024 event.

The Solstice 2024 event is in full swing in Destiny 2, allowing you to unlock critical armor pieces for your Guardian. This limited-time event lasts until Aug. 27 and you have until then to complete the primary quest, A Glowing Solstice, with your desired Guardian.

This quest features many rinse-and-repeat steps, much like the Solstice event itself. You’ll spend most of your time here focusing on unlocking the various armor alloys you can use with the Solstice Forge. After you have at least one piece from each slot, it’s time to add an Incandescence effect to your armor as the final touch. Here’s what you need to know about how to complete every step in A Glowing Solstice in Destiny 2.

You can get A Glowing Solstice after you complete Eva’s initial quest, which you get by speaking with her at the Tower. She’ll be at her usual spot at the center of the entrance. Once you’ve completed your first Solstice armor piece, you get A Glowing Solstice quest and can begin focusing on the other pieces of your armor. It’ll be the same until you add Incandescence ingots to your armor pieces in Destiny 2.

A Glowing Solstice step one

The first step is to get 100 armor alloys of any of the Solstice armor pieces. This can be the helmet, chest, gauntlets, legs, or your class item. You won’t see the armor piece you initially completed to unlock this quest, so it’s time to focus on the other four.

After you’ve acquired all 100 armor alloy segments of the closest Solstice gear piece, the next step is to grab the Ingot quest. You’ll be able to acquire it from the Solstice Forge and interact directly with the item in your Quest inventory.

Now, exit any activity you were playing to grind for the armor alloys and launch to orbit. Your next destination is the Bonfire Bash, the main activity for Destiny 2‘s Solstice 2024 event. You can find it underneath the Tower, right at the center. Launch the activity and complete it, forging your Ingot piece for the armor.

Once you’ve completed the Bonfire Bash activity, return to the Solstice Forge in your Quest inventory and extract it. You can now place the Solstice Armor piece on your Guardian and repeat the process for every armor slot in Destiny 2. There are three more left.

This cycle continues for steps five to 16. You’ll repeat the process with every slot on your Guardian. Everything’s the same, and working through every piece can take a long time. Our recommendation is to make your way to the Moon and work on the Altar of Sorrows, where you’ll be able to earn Silver Leaves and Armor Alloy pieces.

Now, things slightly change when you reach step 17. You’ll be working on the Armor Alloy pieces again, but you’re unlocking Incandescent quests this time to get Incandescent ingots. These are also available at the Solstice Forge, giving your armor a distinct glow. It will be similar to the initial armor piece quests for this Destiny 2 quest, and you’ll need to do it for every armor slot.

A Glowing Solstice concludes when you reach step 36, and you’ve imbued all your Destiny 2 armor pieces with an Incandescent ingot.
