Destiny 2’s 10th-anniversary celebrations brought the Legend title for players who want to Become Legend even in name.

The Legend title is one part of the festivities: Players can also find a new armor set inspired by old concept art, which is available both as individual armor pieces and as ornaments without grinding or paying.

If you haven’t taken the necessary steps, hovering over the Legend title will show four triumphs still tagged as secret. This is by design, but there’s no time-gate involved. You can only see the remaining goals for the Legend title after finding all of Cayde’s stashes in the Pale Heart and claiming the associated triumph. This opens up the rest of the goals to fill.

The objectives may be a bit nostalgic if you’ve played the original Destiny or at least heard about some of their stories. There’s usually a clanmate willing to regale you with tales of the Before Times, when you could decrypt an Engram and get an item of a lower rarity in return. Frightening.

Here’s how you can unlock the Legend title in Destiny 2 to make the most out of the celebrations.

  • Cayde’s Stashes: Find all of Cayde-6’s stashes in the Pale Heart.
  • Special Delivery: Acquire a set of 10th-anniversary ornaments from the Special Deliveries Kiosk.
  • Timelost: Complete Timeline Reflections missions, with bonus progress by playing in a fireteam of two or more members.
  • Among Friends: Complete activities in the Vanguard Ops playlists and matches in Crucible or Gambit while wearing a full set of Veteran Legend armor pieces or ornaments.
  • Accidental Generosity: Defeat combatants and loot Engrams in Skywatch while wearing a full set of 10th-anniversary armor or ornaments.
  • Disappointment: Decrypt Engrams at Rahool. Focusing does not count.
  • Justiciar: Achieve the Justiciar Guardian Rank.
    • This is equivalent to Guardian Rank eight.

None of the challenges seem to be particularly difficult, even if some of them may be time-consuming. It’s unclear for how long the Legend title will be available or if it will ever go away, so make sure to Become Legend to honor one of the game’s taglines—and to celebrate the past 10 years.
