With five classes in Diablo 4, each with unique skills, traits, and passives, creating a character can be a little daunting—it’s okay, we’ve all been there—which is why skill trees and build calculators that help you take out the guesswork will be your best friend.

Although you could build your new Diablo character on a whim, you don’t have to, as these build calculators can help you determine what skills and passives you should get based on your class and personal play style.

Best Diablo 4 skill tree and build calculators

While you may know Wowhead for their extensive information on World of Warcraft, they’ve also got a skill and build calculator for the classes in Diablo 4 that is user-friendly and easy to understand. You can easily select your class, view each skill’s icon, learn more about each skill, and build out your character.

This calculator is similar to what you’d find in Diablo 4. It’s easy to use and can help you navigate your character’s skills without getting overwhelmed by additional information such as Codexes of Power or equipment.

Even though it may not have that additional information, at least not right now, it’s excellent for Diablo beginners. It’s also the one I use the most. I am more of a visual person, so I find it much easier to build my skill tree with this one because the icons are easy to find and recognize at a glance in Diablo 4. It means I spend less time figuring out where to spend my next skill point and more time mucking into the swamps and steppes.

One of the best and most advanced Diablo 4 build calculators so far was posted on Reddit by MaXiMiUS. Their in-depth Skill Tree or Talent Build Calculator can be found on GitHub.

With this Skill Tree calculator, you can build your character and spend your Skill Points without wasting your precious in-game gold. What’s more is that it’s available to use with all five Diablo 4 classes: Druid, Necromancer, Sorcerer, Rogue, and Barbarian. It also features all of the known Legendary Aspects and Powers, a database of the skills, and other relevant class information, and you can even share your build.

When you first open the Build Calculator, it can be intimidating. However, Mattjestic MultiGaming has a video on how to use it, which is easy to follow.

It’s important to note this calculator is a work in progress, so things will change.

Which is the best Diablo 4 skill and build calculator?

The best Diablo 4 skill and build calculator depends on you. If you’re looking to build your skills and aren’t too familiar with Diablo 4, you may find the Wowhead calculator the easiest to use. It’s the most visually pleasing of the two, as all the skills have images, and it resembles the skill tree you’d see in Diablo 4. Because of this, you may find it much easier to recognize the skills you’re looking for, making the whole process smoother.

But if you want to take your build to the next step, and by that, I mean build out your skills and select your armor, Codex of Power (Aspects), or Altars of Lilith buffs, then MaXiMiUS’s calculator on GitHub is the tool you need. It is more advanced and daunting, but the advanced features are unmatched, and I certainly use it the most.

And, they both offer a “share” function so you can share your build, or even send it to yourself just like I do so I can reference it whenever I need to.

Overall, both are the best build calculators for all classes in Diablo 4.
