Diablo 4‘s fifth season is a bit different from the others. It introduces Infernal Hordes, a wave-based game mode that intertwines with a new seasonal questline. There are also new Uniques and Legendary items that promise to spice up end-game grinding. If that piques your interest, check out the early patch notes for more.

For now, though, we’re here to tell you exactly when you can dive into the next Diablo 4 season.

Diablo 4 season five, Season of the Infernal Hordes, starts on Aug. 6 at 12pm CT / 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 3am AEST. These times correspond to Diablo 4’s daily reset times, when Blizzard rolls out updates.

Diablo 4 season 5 release countdown

Around the time of the season five release, you should expect Diablo 4 to go down for maintenance, but this downtime should be brief (if previous seasons are anything to go by). Once the servers are back online, you can download the Diablo 4 season five update and dive into the Seasonal Realm to experience Season of the Infernal Hordes.

Depending on your progression, you may need to complete a few additional challenges from previous batches of content before you can move on to season five, however.
