How to fix Diablo 4 error code 1

Nobody wants an error code stopping them from playing Diablo 4. While “Error Code 1” sounds like the code to end all codes, it is fixable. Follow the steps below, and you’ll be as right as rain. These errors usually have a simple fix, and it takes five to ten minutes of your time.

However, there are five steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix the problem, including restarting your platform, Blizzard’s Battle.net and Diablo, checking for updates, checking your connection, turning off your antivirus, and checking Blizzard’s maintenance schedule.

 1) Check if Blizzard is doing maintenance

If you’re experiencing any error in a Blizzard title, you should always double-check whether Blizzard or Diablo 4 is down. One way to do that is to check the Diablo Twitter account for updates.

The developers always share when they’re shutting down servers for maintenance or releasing a massive update. Most of the time, these updates are planned. However, there are times they are not. So, if you do see the “Error Code 1” error, it may be because Diablo 4 and Blizzard are down. But as soon as the servers are up, you should be able to play Diablo 4 again.

2) Check for Updates on Battle.net
