If you’re looking to improve your damage and crowd-control powers, then you definitely will want to seek out this Unique Helm, but getting the Godslayer Crown has its requirements you need to meet first to get it.

The Godslayer Crown is a random drop from killing almost any enemy in Diablo 4 or opening any chest. Yes, Unique items like the Godslayer Crown can and will drop at random. You can acquire unique items if you defeat random enemies, bosses, or even loot chests, but make sure you are in World Tier 3 or 4, as the Unique items are exclusive to those tiers.

If players want to increase their chances of acquiring the Godslayer Crown, options exist. Players can take on Helltide Events, Legion Events, Nightmare Dungeons, defeat World Bosses, or even track down Whispers. Each option, once triumphed, gives the player a chance to acquire highly sought-after loot.

The best option, while still not promising the Godslayer Crown, is defeating the Season 2 boss, Uber Duriel. In fact, The Godlsayer Crown is sitting on Duriel’s loot table, hinting at the possibility of acquiring the crown.

What is the Godslayer Crown?

The Godslayer Crown is a unique helmet introduced in Season 2—the Season of Blood of Diablo 4. The helmet offers potent effects to builds that utilize crowd control on enemies.

The Godslayer Crown buffs are as follows:

  • + x % Cooldown Reduction
  • + x Maximum Life
  • + x % Damage
  • + x % Crowd Control Duration
  • When players Stun, Freeze, or Immobilize an Elite or damage a Boss, it pulls in nearby enemies. Deals [x]% increased damage to them for three seconds. This effect can only occur once every 12 seconds.

Though acquiring the Godslayer Crown can involve much farming, it is well worth the trouble. I play as a Frost Sorcerer build that heavily uses Freeze and other crowd-control abilities. This build, including Stun Barbarians, can mostly use the Godslayer Crown’s unique effect.

How to get the Godslayer Crown in Diablo 4, summarized

The Godslayer Crown can be acquired via random drop from killing almost any enemy or opening any chest. Still, you must be on World Tier 3 or 4 to get Unique items in general.

Players can increase their chances of acquiring the Godslayer Crown in Diablo 4 by:

  • Taking on Events, both Legion and Helltide

  •  Defeating World Bosses
  •  Tracking down Whispers
  •  Most notably, defeating Uber Duriel
