The new trading card game by Ravensburger, Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter, has created hype within the TCG community, showcasing a variety of cards worth money as singles on the secondary market.
Demand for Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter cards remains high following the retailer launch as products are scarce at the time of writing on Sept. 15. A second but small wave of products are expected to drop during Oct. And an official reprint of The First Chapter is slated to release at the start of 2024. Many prices have esculated in price over the lack of products available but should shift down some during Oct. and potentially return to normal with the release of the second set, Rise of the Floodborn through local game stores on Nov. 17.
Prior to The First Chapter launch, Ravensburger released several promo cards at D23 and GenCon. Promo card prices have yet to get established on the secondary market, with sellers listing them on TCGPlayer between $1,200 for a Cruella De Vil, Miserable as Usual to $3,000 for an Elsa, Snow Queen.
Most expensive Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter card prices
Promo cards are worth more money than normal versions due to lack of availability, driving prices up. The popularity of a card will also drive secondary market prices, along with high-rarity Disney Lorcana cards based on pull rates from booster packs and boxes. There are six rarities within The First Chapter, with Legendary and Enchanted rarities having the lowest pull rates from a booster pack or box.
Product shortages following the Sept. 1 big retailer release have driven some prices up on the secondary market, especially for hard-to-find cards like Lorcana Enchanted rarities and promo cards. Even normal cards like Rapunzel, Gifted with Healing and Lilo, Making a Wish spiked as well due to popularity in meta decks.
All Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter card prices are subject to change daily. Prices are an average of sales on the secondary market through third-party sites like TCGPlayer and eBay.
