Alliance completes its TI7 roster with addition of Pablo

A familiar face returns.

Just days after dropping Jerry “EGM” Lundqvist from their roster, Alliance yesterday announced the addition of Swedish support player Axel “Pablo” Källman.

Pablo, who first came to prominence as a mid player but later switched to semi-support, is a familiar face to the organization, though not necessarily to its fans. After The International 5, Pablo served for several months as Alliance’s official substitute, but did not see any significant results during this period. Later, Pablo signed with Alliance’s semi-official sister organization, Horde, a frequent practice partner for Alliance over the last six months.

Alliance’s roster now consists of Jonathan “LodA” Berg, Linus “Limmp” Blomdin, Jonas “Jonassomfan” Lindholm, Pablo, and Simon “Handsken” Haag.

The addition of Pablo to Alliance’s roster comes at a dark time for the team, which has failed to qualify for any of the major summer LANs and is no longer considered a top European squad. With The International 7’s qualifiers expected to take place next month, Alliance doesn’t have long to mold Pablo into an elite support and restore the team’s reputation.

So far, though, it’s not going well. Pablo made his debut as a member of Alliance yesterday in the LootBet Invitational, where the team lost 1-2 to ProDota. Alliance, and Pablo, will have a chance at redemption tomorrow when they face the Russian organization, Effect, in a lower bracket elimination match.
