There are several constants in the world of Dota 2: Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei refusing to retire for good, Danil “Dendi” Ishutin being chained to Na’Vi forever, and of course, shoutcaster Troels “syndereN” Nielsen’s never-ending quest to make it big once again as a professional player.
Once a member on successful tier 1 European teams such as mousesports and Escape Gaming, he has played alongside familiar names like Adrian “FATA-” Trinks and Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat.
This year, he will be continuing his journey with a couple of ex-Alliance members, namely Adrian “Era” Kryeziu, Jonas “jonassomfan” Lindholm, and Simon “Handsken” Haag. Lebanese player Anas “MagE-” Hirzallah will be joining them as the team’s mid laner.
SyndereN will be playing the hard support role for the team, with Handsken as his partner in the utility support slot. Era will be filling the hard carry role as usual, while jonassomfan will be calling the offlane his home.
SyndereN was last seen playing for Crescendo, a team composed of Swedish and Danish players such as Jon “13abyKnight” Andersen and Jerry “EGM” Lundkvist. Crescendo was invited to the International 7 European regional qualifiers, but the team disbanded right after they failed to qualify for the event.
He also played for Ninjas in Pyjamas earlier this year, where he was teammates with Era as well. Unfortunately, syndereN’s stint with NiP was short lived; he was with the organization for a mere three months.
Era, jonassomfan, and Handsken all left Alliance last month after a disappointing year, leaving team captain Jonathan “Loda” Berg as the sole remaining member. They did, however, win The Final Match in Peru, which was the first significant result for Alliance in a year and a half. Aside from that, they were floating in between tiers 1 and 2 in the European scene for most of 2017.
As for MagE-, he is a relatively unproven player in general. According to his Dotabuff profile, he sits upon around 8,600 MMR, and primarily plays high skill-cap heroes such as Invoker and Shadow Fiend. His pub win rate with Tinker is quite astounding—he has won nearly 60 percent of his 408 Tinker games.
The team is currently unnamed, according to syndereN. This announcement also likely means that he will be taking a break from casting fulltime, as he has done previously.
