Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the fourth game in the Dragon Age series by BioWare, and you can pre-order your copy ahead of time to ensure you get to play this massive RPG on day one. There are several pre-order copies to pick from, with various bonuses.
The pre-order you get determines what bonuses you’ll receive. As it stands, Dragon Age: The Veilguard does not have a pre-order bonus to play the game early, so everyone should receive the game on the same day when it launches on Oct. 31. If you’re looking for a particular, unique item to get when you load your version of Rook, there are several options to select.
All pre-order bonuses for Dragon Age The Veilguard
As it stands, there are three versions of Dragon Age: The Veilguard you can choose to pre-order: the Standard Edition, the Deluxe Edition and the Collector’s Edition. The Standard Edition is the base game that comes with one pre-order bonus. The Deluxe Edition has the same pre-order bonus and several appearance items for companion characters who join your party throughout the story. For the most items, with several physical rewards, go for the Collector’s Edition.
The Deluxe Edition will cost more than the Standard, and you can purchase both through the EA website. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available on PC through the EA app, Epic Games Store, or Steam, and on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
For the Standard Edition, you get the base game of Dragon Age: The Veilguard and the pre-order bonus of the Blood Dragon cosmetic armor set. The cosmetic is available if you play as a Mage, Rogue, or Warrior, with a unique look for each class. The Blood Dragon cosmetic is a throwback to the original Blood Dragon look that appeared on the cover and as the logo for Dragon Age: Origins. The Standard Edition is available for $59.99.
If you prefer the more expensive version, you can get the Deluxe Edition of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. You get everything from the Standard Edition, namely the base game and the Blood Dragon cosmetic armor, on top of several other armor sets for the rest of your companions. You get the Mage, Rogue, and Warrior armor set appearances for Rook, seven Weapon Appearances for Companions, and the seven armor set appearances for your companions. The Deluxe Edition is available for $79.99.
The Collector’s Edition comes with everything we’ve already discussed, plus several physical items you get outside of the game. You won’t be able to purchase this version on the EA website. Instead, it’s going to be from reserving it on Gamestop. You can only get it for the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, buy a standalone bundle, and purchase the game for PC. Dragon Age: The Veilguard Collector’s Edition comes with a 22” Light-Up Lyrium Dagger, Rook’s Card Deck (52 cards), a Companion Litho Print, a Potion Flask, Thedas Illustrated Map with Quiver Tube, and an Enchanged Die.
You can pre-order and reserve your copy until Dragon Age: The Veilguard officially releases on Oct. 31, 2024.
