Enshrouded 2025 roadmap: All new features coming to the survival-crafter

What kind of content can you expect to see in the future?

Enshrouded celebrated its first anniversary on Jan. 24, but the festivities didn’t stop there. Just four days after the game’s birthday, developer Keen Games unveiled its plans for the next year in the survival-crafter, and fans will want to pay attention to what comes next.

Keen Games shared a graphic on Jan. 28 showing everything the team plans to add to Enshrouded over the course of 2025. These features range from gameplay, content, customization options, quality-of-life changes, building options, and social features. The list is long, but here are just a few of the upcoming implementations we’re most excited about:

  • New weather events
  • Base raid islands
  • Improved Shroud
  • Water biome
  • New farm animals
  • Weapon vanity system
  • Barber NPC and character customization
  • First-person building camera
  • Auto-collect option
  • Community world sharing

Those are just things to look forward to for 2025, however. The game is still in early access, which gives Keen Games more time to fine-tune the features it already has in place, as well as add new ones based on player feedback. That means players can expect more changes over the course of the next few months and well into 2026 when its full release is planned.

How to send in player feedback for Enshrouded updates

Enshrouded has a feedback board you can use to share what kind of content you want to see in the game. Since it’s still in an early access state, the team behind the survival-crafter is open to player suggestions and designs future content with these in mind, so you can expect to possibly see a lot of the ideas appearing near the top of the board in future updates.

There’s no guarantee any player-proposed features will appear in Enshrouded, but the team may still choose to implement at least some version of the most popular suggestions. So far, it seems like some of the top additions that could be included on the roadmap based on player feedback are player-based quest progression, more farm animals, difficulty settings, and mounts.

Does Enshrouded have an update schedule?

Unfortunately for fans, Keen Games isn’t one to give too much of a heads-up prior to a patch. In fact, Update 5, Pact of the Flame, was teased for the first time just four days prior to its release. Unlike other games—like League of Legends, which releases patches every two weeks on the same day of the week—Enshrouded doesn’t have a similar release schedule. Instead, you’ll have to keep an eye on the game’s website to see whenever a new patch launches.

These patches come with a set of changes that players can find once they’ve been implemented into the game, so we recommend reading through them before you log in after an update—unless you prefer discovering new features on your own.
