Final Fantasy 16 (FF16) introduces players to a brand new world to explore, filled to the brim with characters that will tug on the heartstrings of even the most emotionless JRPG player. These characters couldn’t have been bought to life (video game life, that is), however, if not for the hard-working and talented voice actors that portray them.

Sometimes players like to know who is voicing the characters they play from the start in case they have played any other significant roles, while others become enthralled by voice actors and become fans due to their acting and natural talent.

So for those who want to know who is voicing who, here is said list!

Final Fantasy 16 (FF16) voice actors

Japanese: Yuya Uchida

English: Ben Starr

The main character FF16, Clive is constantly looking to find a purpose for himself throughout the story and is on a mission of personal revenge.

Yuya Uchida has extensive voice acting experience in video games, movies, and TV shows, including as Freyr in God of War: Ragnarok, Charlotte Perospero in One Piece, and Hendrickson in The Seven Deadly Sins.

Ben Starr also has some video game voice acting credits, such as Sharp in Arknights, but he may be known better by some as Dr. Christopher Priestley from British TV series Jamestown. Additionally, he appeared in one episode of popular Netflix show You.

Japanese: Natsumi Fujiwara / Takeo Ōtsuka

English: Logan Hannan / Jonathan Case

The younger brother of Clive, Joshua inherited the power of the Phoenix and is the country of Rosaria’s heir.

Natsumi Fujiwara is a Japanese voice actress who has numerous credits in both video games and animated TV shows, including as Damian Desmond in Spy x Family and Chihiro Komiya in Shōnen Maid. Takeo Ōtsuka similarly has many animated or game credits, such as Aquamarine Hoshino in Oshi no Ko.

Logan Hannan is still in the early stages of his career, but he’s already been a part of two of the biggest video games in 2023, with voice acting credits in both Hogwarts Legacy (as multiple characters) and Final Fantasy 16. He also portrayed Hugo in A Plague Tale, in addition to voicing Custard in the movie Earwig and the Witch.

Jonathan Case’s credits are not extensive, but after landing such a role like the one he had in FF16, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see (or hear, I guess) him more in future video games and animated projects. Previously, he appeared in Undergods and in one episode of Holby City.

Jill Warrick

Japanese: Megumi Han

English: Charlotte McBurney / Susannah Fielding

A trusted friend of both Clive and Joshua, Jill has secrets of her own the player will need to discover and contend with throughout the story.

Megumi Han is a very well-known Japanese voice actress who most notably voiced Gon Freecss in Hunter x Hunter, Akko Kagari in Little Witch Academia, Ramlethal Valentine in Guilty Gear Xrd.

Like Logan Hannan, Charlotte McBurney has relatively few voice acting credits and she also voiced a character in two A Plagued Tale games (Amicia). Susannah Fielding has quite a few more credits, which include as Amy Simpson in several Forza Horizon games, Katherine in Death on the Nile, Brooke in The Great Indoors, and Jennie Gresham in This Time with Alan Partridge.

Japanese: Hiroshi Shirokuma

English: Ralph Ineson

Known as “Cid” to his friends, Cidolfus was a soldier who became an outlaw who strives to create a place where persecuted and exploited beings of power can die on their own terms instead of being used for a country’s purpose.

Hiroshi Shirokuma has voiced numerous characters across TV, film, and video games, including Kakimoto in Blood+, Ilberd in Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, and Riz in Beastars.

Some playing Final Fantasy 16 may think they recognize Cid’s voice, and that’s probably because they actually do. Ralph Ineson’s distinct voice can be heard in many movies, shows, and games. You likely know him, though, from portraying Chris Finch in The Office (UK), Dagmer Cleftjaw in Game of Thrones, Amycus Carrow in the Harry Potter films, or voicing Charles Vane in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Benedikta Harman

Japanese: Akari Higuchi

English: Nina Yndis

A woman of vast intelligence, Benedikta hails from Waloed and is a crafty character that turned her talents of the sword and her wit into a command of Waloed’s elite intelligencers.

Akari Higuchi has previously voiced Asamoto in Megalo Box, Mia Winters in Resident Evil VII: Biohazard, and Jessica in The Familiar of Zero.

Nina Yndis has added a few voice acting credits to her résumé, such as Birna in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and Edna in Bravely Default II. She also wroter, directed, and solo-starred in the short film #Frozen in 2020.

Hugo Kupka

Japanese: Yasuhiro Mamiya

English: Alex Lanipekun

A nameless foot soldier that rose through the ranks swiftly forced Hugo to be thrust into the limelight of the Dhalmekian Republic where he became the most powerful man in the republic, giving him power and influence overall.

Yasuhiro Mamiya’s extensive voice acting credits include Magma in Dr. Stone, multiple characters in Dragon Ball Super, and Kyohô Fuefuki in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

Alex Lanipekun’s credits are a little more limited when it comes to voice acting, but he did previously portray Nil in Horizon Forbidden West. He may best be known as Ben Kaplan in Spooks, Hank Bonham in Homeland, or Pandarus in Troy: Fall of a City.

Good looks, skills in multiple arts, and the crown prince of Sanbreque. Dion seems to have it all but obviously, not everything is as it seems with his past shrouded in mystery.

In addition to dubbing the likes of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or Gale in The Hunger Games, Yuichi Nakamura has voiced characters such as Bruno Bucciarati in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Gray Fullbuster in Fairy Tail, and Satoru Gojō in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Stewart Clarke has lent his voice for a few other video games, including Horizon Forbidden West, Troy: A Total War Saga, and Valkyrie Elysium. He also portrayed Godfrey Ablewhite on The Moonstone.

Japanese: Gotaro Tsunashima

English: David Menkin

Good looks, skills in multiple arts, and the crown prince of Sanbreque. Dion seems to have it all but obviously, not everything is as it seems with his past shrouded in mystery.

Gotaro Tsunashima’s acting career has spanned more than two decades, but his voice acting credits appear very limited. Some of his more notable roles are as Hiromitsu Tachibana in the Australian film Japanese Story and Lieutenant Aso in Changi.

Aside from video games, Menkin has voiced the likes of Porter and Jack from the U.S. dub of Thomas & Friends.
