Over 10 years after its release, Final Fantasy XIV is still going strong. The latest expansion Endwalker broke records last December and more updates are still being added to the game.
The FFXIV developers are known for sharing a lot of information about their internal processes, the current state of advancement of patches, and more with players.
Letter from the Producer broadcasts are the main place for talking about feedback from recently-released content with fans and revealing updates on the next ones to come.
Usually, game director and producer Naoki Yoshida hosts the broadcast alongside producer Toshio Murouchi. They also sometimes, albeit rarely, translate the stream from Japanese to English when revealing major updates about the game, such as Endwalker’s trailer. Most of the time, however, only visual assets are translated.
Here is when the next Letter from the Producer will air on Twitch, Niconico, and YouTube.
When is the next FFXIV Letter from the Producer?
The next Live Letter from the Producer will be unlike the previous ones since it will air in Las Vegas, Nevada, instead of inside Square Enix’s studios.
It will be part of the Fan Festival event. Game director Naoki Yoshida and producer Toshio Murouchi will speak to the fans directly in the audience, while the show will be broadcast on the usual channels for players from other parts of the world.
The next Live Letter from the Producer will be hosted on July 29 at 8am CT. It will last one hour and a half and will likely bring information about what players can expect to see join the game over the next few months.
Since Patch 6.45 released on July 18, players will likely have to wait for a while before discovering new content that will be coming with Patch 6.5.
According to the post-Shadowbringers patch schedule in 2021, the update could release over two months after 6.45, which would point to mid-September.
The update will likely bring a lot of content, however, as FFXIV is celebrating its 10th Anniversary through multiple events spanning from now to the end of the year. Based on the previous expansion’s schedule, it might also bring the third and last Alliance Raid from Endwalker.
In any case, players will likely get some information from the next Live Letter from the Producer.
