2XKO launched its open alpha test yesterday, and the game has become so popular that Riot Games has run out of Xbox codes entirely.
Riot announced the news on social media, explaining that all available Xbox Series X|S keys were claimed less than 24 hours since the alpha began. So, if you were lucky enough to get accepted into the alpha lab and didn’t claim your Xbox code, you’re out of luck.
Riot has no plans to create more Xbox codes, either, so if you were intent on playing the game on Series X|S, you’ll be missing out during the first playtest, which ends on Aug. 19.
You can still play 2XKO if you got into the alpha, but you’ll need a decent PC or another console to join in. Currently, codes are available for PS5, and everyone with access to the alpha lab gets PC access on top of whichever console they choose.
2XKO codes started being distributed at 2pm CT yesterday, with the alpha lab having six characters to play in 4 stages. Most of the game’s main features aren’t live yet, but players get a first look at the battle pass and a couple of skins, and have the first chance to play online against others.
There is currently no word from Riot on when the next alpha, or beta, will happen for 2XKO, but with the alpha lab test proving so successful and a 2025 release on the horizon, there will be plenty of chances for Xbox fans to get involved later down the line.
