The 2022 World Cup is over and it’s time for FIFA 23 to move on. The first post-Qatar promo event in FUT is called Winter Wildcards. It is yet another promo to feature a Token swap system with scaling rewards. Though it’s not as massive as the World Cup Swap Tokens campaign, the new Winter Wildcards Swaps offer plenty of content to excite the FIFA 23 Ultimate Team player base.

The FIFA 22 Winter Wildcards event introduced non-Icon Swaps to FUT as a prominent feature for the first time. The concept was received positively by the player audience, which has been reflected in FIFA 23’s FUT calendar. The World Cup Swap Tokens are eligible to spend for another couple of weeks, yet we have a new set of Tokens to meddle with already: Winter Wildcards Tokens.

These Tokens are just one aspect of the Winter Wildcards FUT promo event. Two teams of Winter Wildcards player items will be released on consecutive Fridays, Dec. 23 and Dec. 30. EA promised that SBCs and Objectives will follow along as usual.

Speaking of SBCs and Objectives, that’s how you can obtain Winter Wildcards Swap Tokens, generally speaking. There are a couple of Tokens that can be obtained in different ways. Each individual Token’s requirements will be revealed by EA one after the other. This tracker will be updated as these requirements are announced.

The Winter Wildcards Swaps rewards, on the other hand, are static and were set in stone before the promo officially began. It’s only fair since these Swap Tokens are limited in number and players should know precisely what they’re getting themselves into.

The total number of Tokens for this campaign is 25, which is 15 less than the number of available World Cup Swap Tokens. The variety of rewards has been proportionally cut down. These 25 Tokens will be attainable via select Objectives, such as First Owner Fiesta, Silver Stars, and some Winter Wildcards Objectives. They can also be found in select Squad Building Challenges, such as Puzzle Challenge SBCs and Marquee Matchups.

EA also suggested that there will be more than the originally announced 25 Winter Wildcards Swap Tokens. Players could “find some bonus Tokens in the store during the campaign,” according to EA’s own official statement about the event.

What are the FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps rewards?

  • 15 Tokens – 85+ Winter Wildcards Player Pick (1 of 4 Winter Wildcards Players)
  • 20 Tokens – 3x 83+ x25 pack

As we mentioned, each Token comes with a specific requirement, mostly connected to completing SBCs and Objectives. The first two Tokens were released alongside the event’s announcement, as well as how to obtain them. We will update this article with new Token requirements as soon as they are announced by EA.

The third Winter Wildcards Swaps Token is locked behind a First Owner Fiesta Objective. The task is to win one match in the Live FUT Friendly: Homegrown Eleven game mode. • Min. five Rare items
  • Min. 65 OVR

There are a bunch of Marquee Matchups SBCs active in FUT in the week of Dec. 22 to 29, but your main focus should be on one in particular: Sweden vs. Switzerland. That’s where FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 6 is hiding. To complete this SBC, you will have to submit a squad with the following specifics:

  • Min. one player from either Sweden or Switzerland
  • Max. five different leagues
  • Min. two players from the same club
  • Min. 70 OVR
  • Min. 15 Chemistry

If you complete the SBC before its expiry on Dec. 29, you will receive a shiny new Winter Wildcards Swaps Token.

The seventh Winter Wildcards Swaps Token is well hidden, but nothing escapes our keen eye. To obtain this Token, enter the Moments game mode, then open the Star Gallery. There, in the Seasonal packs section, you will find a nameless purple pack that requires 20 Moments Stars to be opened and rewards you with one rare player item. That rare player item is FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 7.

This Token is redeemable all the way up to Feb. 2, but the deadline for using Winter Wildcards Tokens is Jan. 13, so it’s best advised to move fast on this one.

Token No. 8 is the first to require completing a Winter Wildcards Challenge. These are just another form of SBCs and are about as easy to go through as the World Cup TOTT SBCs before them. Here’s what FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Challenge 1 is asking of you:

  • Max. five players from the same league
  • Min. two players from the same league
  • Min. one Rare item
  • Min. 14 Chemistry

This first Challenge expires on Dec. 30.

Embark on a Treasure Hunt and secure the ninth Winter Wildcards Swaps Token. The Winter Wildcard Treasure Hunt is a new series of Objectives. The first Treasure Hunt is as straightforward as they come. There are technically six separate Objectives, but each one is essentially “play a match in any FUT game mode,” up until six matches, at which point you will receive your Token.

Winter Wildcards Treasure Hunt No. 1 ends on Jan. 12.

The tenth Token is by far the costliest of the bunch so far. It is tied to a rather expensive pack, but on the bright side, the pack itself isn’t half bad. We’re talking about the Winter Cheer pack. It will cost you 75,000 coins, in exchange for which you will receive the following rewards:

  • One 86+ OVR Rare Gold player
  • Nine Rare Gold players
  • One Winter Wildcards Swaps Token

The Winter Cheer pack can be purchased in FUT until Jan. 6.

This next Token is one of the prizes for completing Winter Winning Objectives. There are six tiers of Objectives, all tied to winning a set number of matches in any FUT game mode. The lowest tier is winning a single match, the highest requires 50 wins. Thankfully, the Winter Wildcards Swaps Token is kindly tucked in as the lowest-tier reward, so you can claim it after just one victory.

You have until Jan. 6 to record a single win in Winter Winning Objectives and get your Token.

The Christmas spirit can be found in FUT, too. The fatal Token No. 13 is the reward for completing the Christmas Cheers SBC. Here’s what you have to deliver to get this Token:

  • Max. five players from the same nation
  • Min. three players from the same league
  • Min. one Rare item
  • Min. 75 OVR
  • Min. 22 Chemistry

These are the highest requirements for any SBC that’s tied to a Winter Wildcards Swaps Token, yet it’s still moderately cheap compared to most regular SBCs. Its expiry date is Jan. 1.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 14: Antonio Foti

Another Token, another SBC. The Foti Token is the reward for completing Winter Wildcards Challenge 3. This time, the squad submitted must have:

  • Players from max. five different clubs
  • Max. five players from the same league
  • Min. three players from the same nation
  • Min. four Rare items
  • All players must be Silver or better
  • Min. 23 Chemistry

This is yet another step toward the expensive part of town, but not quite there yet. The third Winter Wildcards Challenge can be beaten with around 6,000 coins on consoles and 10,000 on PC. You have until Jan. 2 to do so.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 15: Christos Kourfalidis

We’re going back to First Owner Fiesta for the 15th Token. The Objective here is the same as last time: win a match in the Live FUT Friendly: Homegrown Eleven game mode. You can only use players obtained through packs in this mode, though. The deadline for this challenge is Jan. 3.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 16: Nicolas Kristof

Token No. 16 is bundled together with Winter Wildcards Felix Passlack (74 OVR) as the reward for completing the following Silver Stars Objectives:

  • Win three matches in the Live FUT Friendly: Silver Lounge game mode
  • Score eight goals in the Live FUT Friendly: Silver Lounge game mode
  • Assist six goals in the Live FUT Friendly: Silver Lounge game mode

The restrictions in the Silver Lounge apply here, like only Silver items are eligible for your squad. You must complete these Objectives until Jan. 4 to reap the rewards.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 17: Tiago Santos

The next Token can be picked up by completing the Villarreal vs. Valencia Marquee Matchups SBC. The requirements you have to meet are:

  • Min. one player from either Villarreal or Valencia

  • Min. four players from the same club
  • Min. 70 OVR rating
  • Min. 14 Chemistry

This SBC expires on Jan. 5.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 18: Anthony Uzodimma

We have to solve another SBC to obtain the 18th Token, but of a different kind. Winter Wildcards Challenge 4 is the name of the game, and completing the following demands will grant you the coveted Token:

  • Players from min. five different clubs
  • Min. five Rare items
  • Min. 70 OVR rating
  • Min. 13 Chemistry

This is one of the less demanding challenges so far, and you have until Jan. 6 to complete it.

The Winter Wildcards Cup Objectives hold a bunch of different rewards for winning matches in the Live FUT Friendly: Winter Wildcards Cup game mode, and a couple of rewards for simply playing matches in the mode. Luckily, the Swaps Token is given for the latter. Play two Live FUT Friendly: Winter Wildcards Cup matches before Jan. 6 and the Token will be yours.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 20: Leandro Morgalla

Didn’t take long for Winter Wildcards Challenge 5 to roll around. You know the drill by now, here’s what it takes to secure the 20th Swaps Token:

  • Max. five players from the same league
  • Min. three players from the same nation
  • Min. three Gold items
  • Min. 60 OVR rating
  • Min. 25 Chemistry

The necessity for Gold players could strike the impression that this SBC is more costly than previous ones, but that’s not the case at all. You can cheaply complete it, and doing so before Jan. 7 will result in a Winter Wildcards Swaps Token.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 21: Charlie Kelman

FUT Draft is known for its high risk–high reward nature, but the presence of a Winter Wildcards Swaps Token among the rewards guarantees a net profit this time around. The new Token can be obtained via completing one of the Winter Draft Objectives, namely playing one FUT Draft match. The key here is play, not win, so even if you get bounced from FUT Draft instantly, you will receive a consolation Token.

The deadline for this Objective is Jan. 13.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 22: Kellan Gordon

Token No. 22 is the prize for completing a very special SBC, the New Year’s Kick Off SBC. It is neither easier, nor harder than all the SBCs you’ve completed for Winter Wildcards Swaps Tokens so far, so we’re directly delivering the requirements:

  • Players from min. three different nations
  • Min. four players from the same league
  • Max. one player from the same club
  • Min. one Rare item
  • Min. 75 OVR rating
  • Min. 28 Chemistry

The various club, league, and nation demands and restrictions make the New Year’s Kick Off SBC more intimidating than it actually is. Unless you’ve been outrageously unlucky with accumulation fodder, you should have zero troubles with this one.

You must complete this challenge before Jan. 8 to get the Token.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 23: Liston Colaco

We have to solve back-to-back SBCs if we want all of the Tokens. This one is part of the Winter Wildcards Challenge series, the sixth installment, to be exact. Here are all the requirements for completing Winter Wildcards Challenge 6:

  • Min. five players from the same league
  • Max. three players from the same club
  • Min. four Gold items
  • Min. two Rare items
  • Min. 70 OVR rating
  • Min. 25 Chemistry

This SBC, and the Token its holding, expires on Jan. 9.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 24: Sofyan Chader

This next Token brings us back to the First Owner Fiesta. The Objective doesn’t change, you still only need to win one match in the Live FUT Friendly: Homegrown Eleven game mode.

This is among the last Winter Wildcards Swaps Tokens, so you better be swift in acquiring it. The deadline for doing so is Jan. 10.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 25: Samuel Ballet

It’s been a while since a Token was awarded for completing Silver Stars Objectives. The wait is over because the latest Token is awarded to those who tackle the Janis Antiste Silver Stars Objectives. Here’s what you have to do to obtain the 74 OVR striker and the Samuel Ballet Swaps Token:

  • Win three matches in the Live FUT Friendly: Silver Lounge game mode
  • Score eight goals in the Live FUT Friendly: Silver Lounge game mode
  • Assist six goals in the Live FUT Friendly: Silver Lounge game mode

These Objectives must be completed before Jan. 11 or this Token will be gone for good.

How to get FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps Token No. 26: Hwang Jae Hwan

The 26th Swaps Token comes at the price of a bonus. It’s not super expensive by any means, but it will take a slightly higher investment to acquire than usual. The Token is awarded to players who complete the Twente vs. Emmen Marquee Matchups SBC, which has the following requirements:

  • Min. one player from either Twente or Emmen
  • Players from max. five different leagues
  • Min. three players from the same club
  • Min. 71 OVR squad rating
  • Min. 14 chemistry

Completing this SBC will result in the loss of around 11,000 coins worth of items. Of course, if you are a Token away from claiming a huge Winter Wildcards Swaps prize, it is a price well worth paying.

The Winter Wildcards Swaps rewards can be redeemed in FUT until Jan. 13. Make sure to use all of your Tokens by then or all the grind will end up being for nothing.
