Fortnite: Battle Royale leakers are working full-time on revealing content that might come to the game soon. Lucas7yoshi revealed yesterday that several Limited Time Modes featuring two teams of 50 players might come to the game as part of the 14 Days of Fortnite special modes rotation.
Most of the 50v50 modes are some that were previously seen in Battle Royale as Solo, Duos, or Squads modes, such as the mode with Jetpacks and Shotguns only, Close Encounters. Lucas allegedly got the in-game description of the 50v50 Close Encounters, which reveals exactly that previous description of “two teams of 50 in close quarters combat with Shotguns & Jetpacks.”

A mode with only explosive weapons, such as Rocket Launchers, Grenades, and Dynamites is also coming in the 50v50 High Explosives. The description Lucas found says this mode has “extra loot and resources, a storm that is more lethal, and a shorter match length time than the standard Battle Royale modes.”
Solid Gold wraps up the list of known Limited Time Modes that are returning in teams of 50. The description also mentions extra loot, a stronger storm, and a fast-paced match with only Legendary items of all kinds.
These are special 50v50 modes that are yet to be seen. If developer Epic Games intends to bring more of these big team rules, they could also add the standard mode with two teams of 50 and the high-mobility Soaring 50’s. Both have been featured in the game in previous seasons.
If these three 50v50 modes are coming to the game, each one of them should be available for 48 hours, as Epic explained that modes with big teams will stay for two days rather than rotate out after one. Any of them should come between today and Jan. 1, when the event 14 Days of Fortnite is supposed to end.
